BMW Shows The M6 Before Geneva

BMW has released information and pictures of the new M6 before its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
Powering the M6 is a twin-turbo 4.4L V8 (codenamed S63) outputting 560 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. If you’re wondering where you have heard these numbers before, that’s in part to the same twin-turbo 4.4L V8 powering the new M5. A seven-speed dual-clutch will be the only transmission choice for now and will send the M6 to 60 MPH in 4.2 seconds. Also, the M6 will see a 30% drop in fuel consumption.
The M6 will also get BMW's Active M Differential, an electronically controlled multi-plate limited slip diff that works with the DSC and the new Dynamic Damper Controls that tweak damping force on-the-fly depending on the settings and the situation.
BMW isn’t saying how much the new M6 weighs, only saying that the new one is significantly lighter than the previous M6.
The new M6 goes on sale sometime in June with the new M6 Convertible. The coupe arrives later in the summer.

All those extra cams and valves and turbos get you....
4 more horsepower
50 lb-ft less of torque
0.3 seconds slower to 60 verse the auto (in spite of one extra gear)
0.1 seconds slower to 60 verse the manual
And keep in mind that the 650i coupe is already the exact same weight as the CTS-V, adding all the extra M junk will make it weigh more.
And for the privilege, you get to pay twice the price.
Thanks, I'd rather have his and his CTS-V Coupe and Wagon for the same price.
Sadly there are idiots who will waste their money on this car because it is not American and has to be bette than a CTS-V.
I'll be the first (and possibly only) to give this one a "hell yeah."
