More proof that GM needs to get those damned cars over here NOW. Every time I see a Yaris (or an Aveo, for that matter) I want to scream because GM does have better vehicles but they aren't HERE.

They would bring it if they could, but they can't. Lutz already said they wanted to bring it as a Saturn, but it would take 3 years to make it meet standards (and a gob of money, I assume), when the next design should be here in 5. Personally, I think they should speed that up some... but still.

They're doing it for the Astra, but it may have more similarities (and size helps, no doubt) to North American architectures that made it a bit easier to Federalize the Astra, or they were planning to bring the Astra all along, and that's why they did it half way through the Astra's life cycles when updates were made.

The Ford looks kind of cheesy. WTF is up wit this new

fixed front 1/4 window that hugs the A-pillar thing?

The lamest one is the one on the ECHO uh... I mean

Yaris. It's like 2"x5" & is in the way of the side mirror.
