Suzuki Motor Corp. plans to build a mid-sized car and sell it in North America and Europe.

The Japanese automaker will unveil a concept of the car at the Frankfurt auto show in September.

Suzuki Europe spokesman Axel Seegers said the car will be offered in a number of body styles, but he would not elaborate. Company sources say Suzuki plans a sedan, hatchback and station wagon.

Last year, Suzuki in the United States dropped the Verona, a mid-sized car assembled by GM Daewoo Auto & Technology Co.
