  1. I don't know why, but I thought the Equinox was going to be put to pasture. Guess I was wrong!
  2. Head over to Jalopnik for some spy photos of a Nitro SRT8. Chrysler can't seriously be thinking of bringing an SRT8-badged Dodge Nitro to market, can they? Well, if this latest batch of spy photos from the spy shooters at KGP are right, then they are. But they can't be! Seriously. It's inconceivable. We don't care where they found this manufacturer-plated madness (right outside of the Firehouse in downtown Detroit) or what it has slapped on the back (an SRT8 badge), but it's hard to argue with photographic evidence. We'll assume it's an engineer having a little bit of fun or perhaps another media outlet playing around with the cameras. Because seriously -- it's got to be that. The other option? It's just too horrible to imagine. Full spy report from KGP after the jump. Link http://jalopnik.com/366857/dodge-nitro-srt8
  3. I agree, I know their going for the whole retro thing on the interior, but it just doesn't sit well with me. Like I said before, I hope Ed isn't just hyping things.
  4. I hope its true. I'm not exactly diggin the spy photos so far. But here's to wishful thinking! There are also some new* spy photos for anyone who may be interested. -Mike http://www.autoblog.com/2008/03/10/video-e...r-than-concept/ During an interview at the recent Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance, GM VP of Global Design Ed Welburn claims the the production 2009 Chevy Camaro will feature an interior that's even better than the one featured in the Camaro concept. The interviewer gets Welburn talking about the interior by mentioning the gamut of spy shots taken that show the interior of a Camaro mule. Welburn claims those interiors are just thrown together with tape and gauges and don't represent the production interior at all. Well, we've all the seen the interior spy shots, and they show a dash design that looks much farther along than what Welburn suggests. The latest interior spy shots show a dash, center console, gauges and steering wheel that all appear to be unique elements destined for the production Camaro, not items pilfered from the corporate parts bin just to get the car running. Unfortunately, whether or not the spy shots do reveal the production interior can't be answered until we see the final product at a future auto show, but Mr. Welburn seems to claim that the 2009 Chevy Camaro will still be packing a surprise or two when it finally does arrive. Check out both interviews given by Ed Welburn at the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance after the jump.
  5. http://autos.msn.com/advice/article.aspx?c...opart=passenger Has anyone else seen this article? I was a little confused by this; Can anyone explain to me how an electric vehicle get 100 MPG? Or how do you arrive to an event in a vehicle that isn't in production? lol Another thing, when has it ever actually been cool to roll up in a Honda Accord or a Chrysler T&C? I mean, it may be a sensible ride and make a statement that your levelheaded or something, but certainly not cool imo. Or maybe I'm just an ass, and no comments about what I drive!
  6. I cant help but notice how much better looking the Volt is compared to the Prius. I hope GM delivers!
  7. Someone I work with forwarded this link to me. MSN is asking peoples opinions about which manufacturer makes the better vehicle. Surprisingly GM is dominating the survey with 83%. Although the article looks like its more propaganda trying to put Toyota in a positive light boasting how it can do no wrong. I especially like this bit, "Completing the circle, GM's trying to go green while Toyota's making macho." Who in their right mind would consider Toyota macho? Sorry I don't think their ugly ass truck makes them macho, but thats just my opinion I guess. Here's the link http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17437402/site/newsweek/ See if we cant get this number up even higher.

    Equinox...

I knew a guy named Tony who had an old Malibu like yours, same color even. Pretty sure it had a 454 in it. Nice car btw.

    Equinox...

Not sure if anything is different now than on the first two models, but they had a terrible turning radius for a smaller SUV. It has decent pep off the line, but feels weak after you get going. I heard from some people that the ride was a little harsh, but I never had it out long enough to experience what they were talking about. I thought the Equinox was a nice little suv, I would recommend it.
  10. Correct me if I'm wrong. But its better to support foreign auto manufactures because their cheaper, and if hundreds of thousands of Americans lose their jobs its no big deal, because those thousands of jobs will be handed over to a worker overseas for Toyota or something. How does this benefit us, besides having a cheaper car? Well that is until all of our companies go out of business and we become a third world country and cant afford their cheap cars.
  11. I remember working at a Chevy dealer in Waterford, MI and a four door Colorado running in the 30's, with out leather. I thought it was outrageous for a little truck, although I don't know the small truck market well at all. I thought the price should have been somewhat smaller, offer a V8 and do something with the interior. My biggest gripe with the truck was how $h!ty the interior was. Whats with the newer cloth seats BTW? I liked the cloth that was in my 91 S10 and my moms old 95 Monte Carlo. The new cloth seats in the Cobalt, G6, Malibu etc. just suck IMO, their too rough for me. I did like the way the Colorado looked, I thought it was kind of sporty. The 5 cylinder felt decent to me, but thought it should have been an entry motor. Its kind of funny that I see more S10's around here in Dallas than I do Colorado and Canyons combined.
  12. NOS, thats awesome. Especially like the old diamond emblem in the grille. I hate the color, but for some reason it looks good on that.
  13. Are they for sale already? We haven't had anything yet except the units for Chrysler. Well this is one big waste of time. lol
  14. We just got another load in today, it had two R/T's on it. They didn't seem all that fast though.
  15. No R/T's two SXT's and one cheep-o. Don't know if they have the 3.5 in em yet, I know all the Sebrings we have had so far have only been four cylnders.
