'Trolls on teh internets' have been a truism since olden days..they were there on CompuServe and Usenet newsgroups 30 years ago when I was but a skinny teenager with a Mustang (2 actually) and learning the computing game on computers that seem primitive compared to my phone today..

On automotive pages, it's the cool thing to do to hate on Mustangs, EVs, and SUVs so this is just fuel to the stereotypical member of an auto page. The same people that are complaining about the naming are the same ones who wouldn't consider it even if they made a whole new name for the vehicle.

Yes I do remember which is why I brought it up. Not near as much disdain for that as what I’m seeing here but who’s keeping count though?

Three of the most internet auto enthusiast triggering words were all put into one product, Mustang + EV + SUV.

People can't help but hate on it.

There has to be something else on this new platform.

Yeah, I remember back in the mid-oughts the bloviating defecators online were whining about the 4dr Charger when it came out...same kind of thing.  F' em...

@dfelt do you think this could be a Rivian skateboard or Ford's?

This is truly Ford, that they have made very clear as the Rivian is full size truck / suv. I would honestly expect this to be a smaller version of what Rivian has done. It could be an updated platform based on the DNA of Rivian.

I have to say, I forgot about the station wagon and the FWD Mustang concepts.

Slide 8 of 8: Hands down, the worst Mustang to ever exist was this front-wheel drive design study. In the mid-1980s, Ford was well on its way in designing the first-ever front-wheel-drive Mustang, but fortunately enthusiasts caught wind and voiced their opinions. This was enough to keep the rear-drive Mustang around leaving the planned front-drive car to become the production Ford Probe.Related Articles...Ford Mocks Its Heritage With Mustang CrossoverRingbrothers Uses A 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 To Create UNKL

    I remember that too.

Hell, its not even unique to the American automobile market.

There is a vocal shytefest with some Toyota fanbois too on the new Supra. These internet keyboard warriors say that its not a "real" Toyota because its a BMW chassis and a BMW inline 6 ignoring all the while that the new Supra is a very capable handler with a very capable inline 6 that could easily make 1000 HP without exploding.  The Mark IV Supra was not a good driver's car. It was a clumsy muscle car when it made 1000 horsepower. To which is an antithesis of what Japanese sports cars are supposed to be and the new Supra does what a new Supra is supposed to do...which is to be an antithesis of a muscle car.

    Weird phoquing hatred.

From Star Wars to the Supra to the Mach-E...

I'm wondering if this is an all new EV-specific platform or a variant of the Explorer platform---unibody RWD/AWD, similar wheelbase, and it's been said the next Mustang would likely be based on the Explorer platform...

Oh yeah, I should have known it wouldn't be in something this size compared to what they made the skateboard for.

Ive read that its an all new skateboard platform from the ground up engineered to be an EV like a Tesla product.

Has Rivian played a part in this?

I doubt it as Ford just partnered up with  Rivian and this Mach-E seems to be an effort to be older than the partnership itself.

Just my guess though. Maybe Ford did accelerate this project with the help from Rivian.

I just wasn't sure because this Mach E isn't about to be on sale anytime soon so the underpinnings could have engineering yet to be completed.

Gotta say, I am very excited for this to quote the media page.

Ford also will offer two special performance versions. The GT is targeting 0-60 mph in under 4 seconds2, making it faster off the line than a Porsche Macan Turbo3. The GT Performance Edition, meanwhile, is targeting a comparable 0-60 mph in the mid-3-second range to a Porsche 911 GTS.3 Both GT configurations are targeting an estimated 342 kW (459 horsepower) and 830 Nm (612 lb.-ft.) of torque.2

In addition to blistering acceleration, Mustang Mach-E will be available with Brembo’s all-new performance Flexira aluminum calipers, which maintain the functionality of a fixed caliper while being designed with the dimensions of a floating caliper. The GT Performance Edition is equipped with a MagneRide® damping system, adaptive suspension technology that lets drivers hug the road while delivering an exciting, comfortable ride.

Performance gives new meaning to the word ‘electrifying’

Mustang Mach-E delivers three unique drive experiences – Whisper, Engage and Unbridled – each offering finely tuned driving dynamics packaged with a distinct sensory experience. Features include custom-designed vehicle responsiveness such as sportier steering controls, ambient lighting, sounds tuned for an authentic all-electric experience, and dynamic cluster animations that are tied to driving behavior.

When the vehicle launches, a new Mach-E 4 all-wheel drive system will be available that can apply torque independently to the front and rear axles to deliver impressive acceleration and improved handling over the rear-wheel drive model. Ford tuned this system to provide excellent traction on the road, rigorously testing the vehicle in wet and snowy terrain to help control for slippery conditions. Mach-E is the first production vehicle to be tuned by the Ford Performance team utilizing Ford’s racing simulator in North Carolina.

“Whether you want to really feel its performance capability or are looking for the quiet atmosphere that electric vehicles can offer, the Mach-E harnesses the power of electrification to create a unique driving experience while retaining that unmistakable Mustang feeling of freedom,” said Ted Cannis, Ford enterprise product line director, global electrification.

Ford really needs to offer a Level 2 home charging station with this MACH-E-ATO. During the the reveal the Ford execs talked about an estimated 80% of charging being done at home and about offering a Ford "Mobile Charger", but it sounds like it's similar to the Chevy Volt style Level 1 110v 20amp wall plug unit, that would be DISASTROUS as it takes FOREVER to get any recharge range with a Level 1, I know first hand from a past EREV I had where I ended up installing a Level 2 unit with a dedicated circuit in my garage. Hopefully they do like Tesla does and Cadillac did with the ELR in offering a Level 2 240v 50amp wall mounted home charging station that they will even have professionally installed for the customer.

I've worked in the EVSE industry with Blink Network here in Phoenix so I also know first hand that the "Ford Public EVSE Network" infrastructure that they are working on will take longer to complete than they think and most people do not want to have to sit in a long line for 30 - 45 min. or longer to finally be next to charge their EV, so the Level 2 home charging station would be where it's at.

First Ford BEV? Well they had the Focus EV with a miserable 75-80 mi. range, real world was like 60 mi. when our engineers field tested it...it was an EPA compliance vehicle, but was still their first BEV "try".

When GM launches their new BEV skateboard platform (BEV3) line in 2022 or '23 starting as a Cadillac SUV they'll be making some pretty good progress in that regard. GM also has a much better view and/or background with the EV market in the U.S. and really worldwide than Ford, being that they've had the Volt (EREV) and Bolt (BEV) out since 2011 and 2016 respectively.

Also, like others have stated the Bolt is 2nd to 4th overall (depending on the publication) in a crowd of 40 total EV's available here in the U.S, not a bad showing at all. I'm not really a fan of the Bolt looks and it's too small if I was even in the market again even though the Bolt EUV will be larger, but Bolt does sell pretty well in the EV segment, you can't argue that. https://www.torquenews.com/1083/chevy-bolt-sales-comes-strong-september-making-it-number-one-affordable-ev-america

I would still probably go with a Tesla Model S, X or Y at this point though.

Thanx for the correction.  I googled and it turns out that it sold in selective markets. I do not know if the Focus EV was sold in Quebec. I did not know this car existed.  Hence my misrepresentation...  I did not mean it and I certainly dont shill...

    However...

If you are gonna correct me, please do not do it with trying to prove some sort of GM supremacy in mind...

I do want correct information to come through, but not as a shill exercise for your favorite brand...

    2022 or 2023?

Shyte dude...that is still 3/4 years away...

Cadillac's BEV in 2022/2023 BETTER be a thousand times more advanced than this Ford Mach-E and better be on par with Tesla's offerings in 2022/2023...

If it aint....it will only be as good as a Jaguar iPace which is NOT GOOD ENOUGH...

    2022/2023...

This is the same stupid argument I endured over at Motor Trend Forums when Mustang/Camaro guys would troll each other:

"Of course this generation Camaro/Mustang  (you could replace the pony cars with Silverado and the F-150 and add the Ram) beat it this time around, the Mustang/Camaro that lost is on the old platform...wait until the next generation comes..."

    2022/2023

    Shyte dude!

And yes, the Bolt is a good seller for what it is and what sales EVs are to have that are NOT Tesla...

And yes, the Bolt is a good effort BEV, but it aint a Tesla both in terms of brand recognition and in terms of EV friendly as how you get with Tesla product EVs...

You could argue GM's build quality is eons ahead of Tesla's, but that argument could go either way, depending on who you talk to...  The C8 aint even out yet and GM haters are already calling it American junk...

    So there is that...

Point being, dont shove a GM BEV argument when there isnt an equivalent GM BEV product around...

No reason to get defensive dude, I wasn't trying to correct you or show some sort of GM supremacy, that's a good one though!

I have experience in the BEV and EVSE industry so I was giving my take on it. Take a couple deep breaths I didn't say the Mach-E was a POS like many already have.

It's pretty much 2020 dude about 40 days away so 2022 MY vehicles are less than 2 years away normally releasing in late 3rd qtr. or early 4rd qtr. of the prior year.

It's a Cadillac luxury vehicle so either way it will be FAR better than a Ford. If it were a Lincoln like it probably should be then it may be closer.

There's always going to be haters of every brand especially large storied brands like GM and Ford and haters gonna hate. I'm not a Ford hater and hopefully for Ford's sake the Mach-E does well...they NEED IT to.

Here's some good 'ole 'Merican built footage for ya! 🇺🇸💪🏻😎😜

As the years go by, I try to model my car enthusiasm as his. I try to like all cars, brands, makes, from all countries from all eras.

Some comedians may not like him... and think the opposite of what you just said...The Tonight Show fiascos, but both times may not have been 100% his fault.   Anyway, this is a car forum, and as a car guy, he is tops in my book.

BTW: I have always been a David Letterman guy going back to the mid 80s, and I prefer Conan over Jay as well, but as a comedian and a Late Night Talk Show host,  Jay is definitely in his element and just might have been the better candidate to replace Johnny...

Nobody beats Johnny, but Jay was the right person for that job at that point in time...

Letterman was the better 12:35 guy. He lost his edge by NOT being edgy at the CBS 11:30 show because of that 11:30 crowd.

Conan is just silly. Funny. But silly. Smart. Probably the smartest comedian. He is better off doing his own thing on his own show. The Tonight Show was not his thing. Wrong crowd for him.

    LOL

Listen.  American cars is what I love. From the 1900s to today.  But I'd like to try and learn about  cars from different countries and from their different eras too.

Car craziness and car culture is strong in America, but it aint strictly an American thing. The automobile has defined America and its culture and we revolve our modern lives around it more than any other culture, but there is a car culture elsewhere other than North America. And if it wasnt for 2 devastating world wars in Europe where the automobile was starting to get a grip on life here as well as in Europe, the automobile in Europe would have had the same influence as in America.

But like everything else in nature, the environment influences the surroundings and the same entity evolves differently and at a different pace as the next.

I love to learn about different car cultures around the globe and how the car has influenced that society and how it evolved differently from ours.

And from all that,  I learned that car enthusiasts around the world are the same, but have a different take on the performance car than what we have. And from an enthusiast point of view, for which I am, I enjoy enthusiast cars.  And I want to appreciate that.

I have learned that I actually do enjoy European racing cars of the 1920s and 1930s.

Or the rivalry that Ferruccio had with Enzo that produced those slick Italian cars of the 1960s and 1970s from both companies.

I enjoy the French quirkiness and I enjoy an Alpina race to which Renault paid a tribute to just a couple of years ago, kinda like what Ford did with the Ford GT in 2005.  I actually like that Renault/Alpina. Its a cool little sports car.

The Japanese car culture thing is whack. Most of it just seems weird to me. But I definitely like the American influence on their sports cars (which also had a slight Euro touch to them too) which in turn begat a pure Japanese sports car scene.

I get the question marks.  I do not like the shyteboxes that Europe has produced. But then again, I dont like the shyteboxes that Detroit has produced over the years also. But, I do prefer Detroit shyte over Europe's though.

And I feel like  what Jay Leno has over other car "influencers" is that he has a certain bias towards cars that I find interesting and I gravitate towards his influence over others.

Well, the wording (“try to like all”) just struck me. NOT saying 442 is NOT one, but enthusiasts don’t do that; right/ wrong / illegitimate- they form some sort of themes/biases right off the bat and they usually set like hi-PSI concrete. And like I say; maybe that’s ‘wrong’, but to snapshot my position and keep it topical- I’d have no issue pulling the crusher lever on a Mustang II.
Props, Oldshurst442, for branching out. I hope you get me.

    I get you.

And yes, I see what you are sayin' and I agree with it. My choice of words, whether worded wrong or right, I did not realize the impact it might have.

And yes, I have formed that theme and bias.

I like muscle car type cars. I like performance oriented cars.  I like automotive rivalries and what cars come out of that rivalry.

I usually like how cars have evolved as a product in their own environment.

Skylines, to me, are muscle car like.  Originally, the cars were normal cars that were stuffed with higher performance engines in them creating a faster car. And over the years and decades, we got what we have today.  So I like Skylines.

Any car stuffed with a big V8 where normally a smaller engine resides, I like. The AMG Hammer in the late 80s and more often than not, the modern AMG V8 cars, I enjoy those.

    I like Ford GT40 versus Ferrari 250s.

    I like Lamborghinis versus Ferraris.

I like Chevy versus Ford versus Dodge.

And if you have the patience to read my posts, you will clearly see what cars I usually have passion for.

I can relate...i like a lot of stuff from a lot of manufacturers.  I'm sure some of it is due to what I was exposed to at an early age.   '60s-70s muscle cars and pony cars, full size American cars from the '60s-80s (esp. '69-72), personal luxury coupes.  Mustangs were my first loves. Over the years have gained an appreciation for German luxury and performance sedans, esp. the big Mercs of the 80s to today.  I like Northstar Cadillacs.  I like JDM performance cars like the older Skylines, though I've only seen a few in person.  Like a variety of Porsches and other European performance cars.  Like modern Volvo wagons.   I love a variety of Jeeps.  Love vintage race cars.

442 : I have seen where your automotive passions lie, and I have no issues with that, of course. Always; to each, his own.

I know I am generally very particular- that's just me. There's no singular automotive segment that I like unilaterally.
    • 1960 Eldorado Seville coupe, for me? Why, thank you, anonymous wealthy donor, I shall love it like my own child!
    • 1960 Merc Park Lane coupe, for me? Ummm, may I politely allow another to appreciate this automobile over myself?

As far as comedians with cars, I like Leno and his eclectic collection...of the late night guys, I always preferred Letterman--thought he was funnier---and I always liked his involvement in Indy Car.   I like Adam Carolla and Jerry Seinfeld's interest in cars also, funny guys that have interesting cars and taste in cars. (Carolla's documentaries were quite good also--one about Paul Newman's racing career and one about the Ford '60s Le Mans effort).    I walked past Seinfeld and his buddy Larry David at Rennsport Reunion in Laguna Seca  a few years ago, but didn't bug them for autographs--that would have been crass.

    No worries there.

"The Ford Mobile Charger with its 14-50 plug, on a dedicated 40/50amp circuit (so, an electric-oven outlet), will pull 32 amps, giving the Ford Mach-E Mustang RWD 22 miles of range per hour. That’s 264 miles of range over a 12 hour period, surely enough for 99%+ of drivers. BUT, if you really need more, Ford is also offering a hardwired, 48 amp wall box, which will get you 32 miles of range per hour."

I enjoyed the original trio, but sometimes I did not.  I enjoyed the sarcasm and the purposeful making fun of the ethnic cultures that they made fun of, including when they made fun of Americana. Hey, they poked fun at British stiff upper lippness too...

But what I did not like, is when they, mostly Jeremy, blurred the lines of sarcasm, jokes and entertainment value and passed it on as facts.  And he did that when Top Gear was "seriously" reviewing American cars. Cadillacs and Corvettes mainly.  Lots of disinformation that was passed on as facts while stereotyping American cars are crap...

The American Top Gear and the British Top Gear that replaced the original guys are not that bad.  Matt Leblanc and Chris Harris do a good job. The American version just tries to copy the original Top Gear formula and it does not work. It aint bad, but it falls flat.

And I know that both Top Gears now have other hosts. But I dont watch those as often anymore.

Do you mean at the time of sale offer to sell and wrap into the financing a Level 2 charger installed at the customers home?

I do not see Ford needing to build and sell a Level 2 charger when there are so many 3rd party companies doing that.

I DO SEE Ford needing to offer a resonable priced Level 2 charger installed with the purchase of the Mach E. That would help build customer satisfaction on their first major global EV.

That's good, the hardwired 48 amp wall mount Level 2 charging station on a dedicated 50/60 amp circuit would be the way to go for sure. Then leave the mobile switchable 120/240v box in the rear storage for traveling where there may not be a public station like rural areas.

Yes, they need to at least offer a Level 2 station to the buyer. EV buyers are very finicky and some feel entitled to one and will want options, trust me working for Blink I've seen and heard some pretty extravagant requests from early EV adopters.

They can offer a Ford branded OEM station like Cadillac did with Bosch. They won't want to give the station to and pay to have it installed for the customer like Caddy did for the first 5k buyers/lessee's, but it's not going to be expected like it is from a luxury brand like Cadillac or even Tesla.

Absolutely. If you're committing to a full blown EV, you might as well commit to the proper charging setup.

The one that comes standard will be a small box with interchangeable plugs for 120 or 240v similar to the one GM offered as standard in the Volt and ELR with a specific place to store it in the trunk. It won't pull the amps that one will want on a regular basis or be as good as a wall mounted dedicated Level 2 50 amp charging station, trust me it makes a big difference even if they say it will pull 32 amps on the mobile charger that's MAX and will vary greatly depending on the circuit and the environment the car is in.

Attached pics are what Caddy offered for the Level 2 50 amp station with J1772 plug and 18 ft. cord, it was a pretty cool setup.

The Adam Corolla Show was awesome, loved that show. Top Gear was one of my favs as well both British and American versions were great in their own way.

The original Top Gear USA with Rutledge Wood, Adam Ferrara and Tanner Foust was hilarious and fun as h3ll to watch! They'd screw with each other like Clarkson did with May and Hammond. What a dream job! Get to drive exotics or clunkers to hammer on that aren't yours and if you break it the show pays for it 😂

That's all you got out of it? Lol! Definitely wasn't cheap. I've been told it's because they were in the midst of changing the logo from the Wreath and Crest to the new Crest, but it hadn't been completed yet. First ELR's in 2014 had the old logo and the newer 2015's and 2016's had the new Crest logo on the grille and trunk lid along with a small "Cadillac" script on the trunk trim.

I got more than that, but remember if we are to take the minds and memory of the consumers, then an old logo is better than no logo.

Not a good sign because ANYBODY can get triggered over ANYTHING and start a petition over nothing as it seems.

Even THAT is not a good sign.

    https://dailyhive.com/vancouver/don-cherry-comeback-petition

Don Cherry, if you know who that is, or even care, got fired for words said...

People got triggered. He got fired. Fake backlash or not...the consensus  is that he does not represent Canada or Canadians in any way , so he got fired...will continue to be fired never to air on Hockey Night in Canada ever again...so...

Immediately after his firing 180 000 people signed a petition to get him re-hired. More signatures and yelling and more people triggered for his firing than what he supposedly said was racist that triggered those people that wanted him fired...

But does 180 000 signatures really indicate if Canadians really gives a shyte if he stays on ranting about hockey on Hockey Night in Canada or not?

Same with this Mustang named EV and the folk that are triggered by its naming.

When Ford wanted to cancel the Mustang and bring it on as a FWD sporty car, THAT backlash was real, because that meant that a RWD Mustang with a V8 could NEVER be had again.

    Same with the Porsche 911.

When Porsche was tinkering on with the idea that the 928, a V8 powered front engined GT car would probably replace the 911, fans of the 911 got angry as they too, could never buy a boxer 6 cylinder rear mounted sports car from Porsche.

THAT is what the BIG DIFFERENCE is here. A RWD V8 coupe and convertible sports car could STILL be bought called the Mustang...

Its just that the Mustang now also has a stable mate that rides higher, has 4 doors, has AWD and is electric...

This "outrage" for an EV named Mustang is...really just noise. It will dissipate.

Like the "outrage" when Porsche went from air cooled to water cooled.

Like when Corvette ditched its pop-up headlights and  went from round tail lights to "Camaro" tail lights.

Like when Dodge made the Charger into a 4 door.

Like when Ford decided to have a turbocharged V6 as its top engine choice rather than a V8 in their bread and butter F-150, keeping in mind that the V8 is STILL offered.  Yeah, the Mustang RWD coupe that now has 3 engine choices is still around. And when the RWD 2 door coupe Mustang will eventually go all electric, there will be backlash on that too. But that one is a tad more touchy than actually having a 4 door SUV stablemate be called Mustang.  But then again, by that time, people will have been accustomed to an all electric Mustang...   Be it an SUV or a 2 door coupe...

These people are actual customers that buy that product, whatever that is.  So I think it is in the best interest of the companies to listen to them.

911 became better by going liquid cooled.

Vette became better by going mid-engine.

Mustang name used on a crossover is not even close to these examples.

    • All done with the detail inside and out of the SS for the spring/summer season.
    • I had never driven an Infiniti Q50 before, let alone ever really looked at them.  I also didn’t know much about these cars. I was supposed to be assigned a medium sized SUV, but remarked I wanted the luggage area to be hidden.  The rental agent told me they could not guarantee the presence of a retractable cover. (Why would they order a car without one or why would someone take one?  eBay?)  They didn’t have any SUVs anyway, and I got put into an Infiniti Q50.  I checked my phone to verify the cost would be covered by my insurance and the credit card parameters.  It came in at around $43,000.  That’s if new.  That said: “no worries.”  However, this unit would be a much-depreciated 3+ year model with 57,000 miles.  I relaxed.  At any rate, I put less than 500 miles on it over a week.  As one walks up to it, you can tell its heritage … and rather quickly.  You can instantly see similarities to the Nissan Altima in the instrument panel’s main cluster and in the switches much the same way that a CT6 by Cadillac and a Cruze by Chevrolet share dials and such.  However, the assembly and detailing are nicer in the Q50.  It had leather seating, which I don’t care for in a warm weather location, that was comfortably contoured and nicely finished.  The same could be said for the doors and other trim and fittings.  Inside, I liked the way that the dash, center stack, and console flowed together.  The scalloped tops of the dash hearken to those of the very last Impala, which had an attractive dashboard on various levels. The center stack is slightly like that of an Olds Aurora.  These comments go along with the often-cited commentary that this car is traditional and old school in a lot of ways, thus not breaking any new ground. The least favorable aspect of the interior is operating the various touch screen and stalk functions.  Some are redundant and confusing.  However, for one, it is possible to pull up a clock that resembles old school chronometer and have it sitting at the top of the center stack. On the interior's plus side, there are perfectly contoured and angled slots to store water bottles at the base of the front doors.  On the minus side, there is a remote latch release for the trunk, but not one for the fuel cap door.  (The fuel cap door remains closed if the car is locked.) I figured that this Infiniti would have a V6.  It was no ordinary V6, but 3.7 liters worth of V6 with twin turbochargers.  Rarely does one need this much power and, in one week, I got aggressive with the throttle in one merging situation and one passing situation.  It is up to the task and kicks out a little torque steer.  Its hum is a rather muted purr.  As would be expected in what is supposed to be a premium car, the automatic transmission is a geared unit.  It has 7 speeds.  The first 2 shifts can be felt while the remaining shifts are not.  However, if in stop and go traffic, and alternating speed, those early shifts can be a little less smooth as the transmission seems to hunt.  (It could also be how many miles were on the unit.) Why 7 speeds?  How about 6 … or 8?  I’m talking even numbers! With the powertrain comes the requirement for premium fuel.  Also, compared to many full-size Japanese cars working with 4 cylinders and turning in commendable gas mileage, this car with its V6 is a little thirsty. Ride, handling, and noise are related, but different enough.  The ride was supple and controlled, but not much more so than that of an uplevel 4-cylinder sedan.  Handling was better and this Infiniti tracked accurately and nimbly.  Also, the Q50 was fairly hushed, but I might have expected a little more isolation and a higher premium "feel" for the price jump from a Nissan to an Infiniti. Its exterior features that extra chrome and trim to make it uplevel within the Nissan family tree, yet the greenhouse is an almost familiar one.  This car delivered on one greenhouse dimension I’m fussy about - rearward vision from the driver’s vantage point is very good. I don’t know how the order sheet was configured when this car was purchased. There was an indicator for forward alerts, but I never got to experience it in action.  Also, whether on the rearview mirrors or inside of the front pillars, there was nothing to warn of side traffic and there weren’t parking assists that kicked in.  Perhaps they were there, but the car was not put in a situation where they’d engage.  On another rental car of a lower price point, those were always at work and perhaps a little too eager.  I almost prefer the latter. I didn’t read any reviews about this car before beginning the rental or during the rental.  I echo what they have to say.  For its niche, it doesn’t drum up much enthusiasm.  The best point is its more premium handling while the negatives are some difficulties in setting it up when first getting in and its slight thirstiness. If something about this overall package is appealing and a person connects with the Q50, then the consumer will probably go for it.  I don’t know how it will hold up and how much it will cost to service over the long haul.  While there are no Toyota and Nissan dealerships in Beverly Hills, California, as an example, there is a Lexus agency there while the Infiniti dealership seems to have closed.  Infiniti seems to want to ride the same wave that Lexus is riding, though I’d think piggybacking onto Toyota might be a more lauded genealogy. This is very much a personal decision and you’re on your own.  I was going to turn in the Q50 after a day to see if I could get something more familiar to me but decided to keep it.  Exchanging cars is a hassle.  Once past the learning curve and adjustments, it’s fairly easy to live with, but it’s neither a remarkable nor compelling vehicle. - - - - - PHOTOS FORTHCOMING
