The picture was from a Hot Wheels poster showing their 2012 lineup. Well, there's more from Hot Wheels. A poster on the Newfoundland Motorsports forum posted two pictures of a 1/64 Viper die-cast. The diecast matches up with the teasers and spy shots that have been coming out for the past few months, especially with the hood. Last month, we learned that Dodge had some interesting plans for the Challenger . There is an all-wheel drive version that will be introduced this fall, followed up by a widebody model with the Hellcat V8 known as the ADR. Thanks to a spy photographer, we have the first photos of the ADR. Now the two vehicles photographed don't have the wider fenders installed, but the wider tires give away their identity. We can't tell how wide the tires are, but it would be safe to assume they are in the range of 315 or more. We don't know if Dodge has some other changes in store for the suspension or brakes. The Dodge Dart will be going away sometime in the near future and to prepare for this, Dodge has revamped the lineup to help dealers move them out. For the rest of the 2016 model year, the Dart will only be available in the SXT Sport, Dart Turbo, and Dart GT Sport. SXT Sport: This is the new base model in the Dart lineup with a base price of $18,990 with destination. Power comes from a 2.0L Tigershark four-cylinder with 160 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed manual or automatic are available. As the Dodge Viper drives off into the sunset, its home since 1995 will be shut down. NBC Detroit affiliate WDIV reports that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' will be closing down the Conner Avenue Assembly in Detroit at the end of August. At the moment, more than 80 people work at the plant. In a notice filed with the state of Michigan in June, FCA said it would be offering positions at other locations to those affected. Formally a plant for Champion spark plugs, FCA took it over in 1995 to produce the Viper. Connor would also be home to the Plymouth Prowler from 1997 to 2002. A week ago, Dodge dropped a teaser announcing the return of the Demon nameplate. It will appear on the Challenger SRT and become the "new ultimate performance halo" vehicle of the lineup. Yes, there will be a model that usurps the SRT Hellcat. Dodge for its part has released two teaser videos about the Demon. The most recent video reveals that the Demon will be 200 pounds lighter than the Hellcat. It is suggested in the video that various components in the suspension, steering, and interior have been swapped for lighter parts. The refresh will include redesigned front and rear ends, a revised interior layout with new controls and a digital instrument panel, and a new eight-speed transmission across the engine lineup. Before the 2016 Woodward Dream Cruise kicks off in Detroit later this week, Dodge has revealed two heritage-inspired packages: the 2017 Challenger T/A and Charger Daytona. The Challenger T/A package adds “air catcher” headlights, ducted hood and modified cool air box from the Hellcat; new exhaust system, and wider wheels. This new engine, code-named Hellcat, is believed to be a 6.2L HEMI V8 equipped with a supercharger. The Dodge Hellcat models are a huge success with 4,000 Challenger and Charger Hellcat models sold out of a total of 88,000 muscle cars.
