See attached picture. eBay link: http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Promo-1-25-scale-Pontiac-Buick-Dealership-Sign_W0QQitemZ110480581330QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item19b927e2d2 Very cool and would be a nice addition to my curio display, but it's already priced way out of my range. Back in 1990 I attempted to buy a chevrolet dealership sign like this from ick Kranz promo's and he stated his were from the '70s or early '80s - he sold the last one before my check arrived (oh boy, the days of bying before eBay, Paypal, etc). This Buick-Pontiac sign is the first I've seen outside of the Chevy one 20 years ago. Nowto find a GMC one!!

Also, be sure to check out that link for cool Chevy owner stories and commercials through the years. *UPDATE 4/29/11* I asked Oldsmoboi if it would be possible for C&G to buy multiple copies of this magazine and re-sell them to members here because of the cost savings. If you were to buy just one copy, it's $49.95 + S&H; if you were to buy 2-10 copies it's lowered to $39.95 + S&H; and if…

I've tried looking online for any new GM-related diecasts from Johnny Lightning, Matchbox, and Hot Wheels (to name a few) with no luck. So I'm calling on our expert in this area, OldsGuy (and anyone else "in the know"), if you've heard about, read, or saw something online indicating what GM-related diecast collectibles will be issued in 2010 to please post here. TIA!

Hot Wheels is celebrating their 40th Anniversary in 2008 and has introduced a new series called "Modern Classics". I've seen these cars only at Wal-Mart so far. I found this on sale at my local Cracker Barrel restaurant. I didn't buy it, as I have a Simpson's clock similar in style to this already. I could however put it in my office, should I decide to eventually. Thought some here might enjoy adding this to their stable of "GM collectibles". :AH-HA_wink:

Made a stop at the local Wal-Mart last night and made a detour down the toy aisle to see if anything new was on the racks. Not much on the HW's racks, but found this 1984 Pontiac Grand Prix metallic green "stunt car" on the last peg I checked behind a couple of older releases. Enjoy!!

Link: http://www.cadillaccollection.com/itemdetails.aspx?productID=2138 - Same deal as the 2009 GMC ornament I posted earlier, a 6-piece minimum is required and these are going for $17 too (w/o S&H costs). Hopefully there will be some interest in the Caddy ornament, as I'd like to get one of these too. (*And yes, I checked the other divisions and only the GMC & Cadillac ornaments are being produced)

The picture above was taken at my BPG dealership this past Sunday. They've had these flags out there for atleast a year, if not longer. Does anyone know where these flags can be ordered from? I've tried Pontiac Mall and the similar GMC website with no luck. I'd like to get the Pontiac flag ASAP if possible, as I think current GM-licensed Pontiac collectibles may be hard to come by once the lights are turned off at Pontiac. I will definitely ask my dealership when I take the wife's G6 in for service next time if no one here has any leads for me. I figured I'd ask here first :AH-HA_wink:

I was randomly at Walmart and I saw this. I really didn't want to buy anything... but... I couldn't pass it up. Yep, a Camaro, by Jada. I must say, being able to feel all the lines and view it from infinite perspectives, I have so much more respect for the design.

I have recently found the following three 2008 First Edition releases from Hot Wheels: 1970 Pontiac GTO Convertible (maroon): 2008 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Concept (orange): 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (metallic blue): The Camaro Convertible I picked up at K-mart earlier this past week, and the GTO and Corvette I found at Wal-Mart yesterday. BTW, where has Olds Guy been? He usually makes these kinds of posts.

Legendary GM Magazine - Premier Issue (July/August 2008) At the 2008 All-GM Nationals car show on Saturday, June 21, I saw a tent advertising the above magazine. At first I mistook it for GM High Performance magazine; taking another look before walking away, I realized the name was new to me and the cover (shown above) stood out in a postive way. I asked the lady behind the table if this is a brand new magazine and she replied "yes". A quick-flip through of the magazine and I was hooked. I decided to try out a one-year subscription, being offered at a reduced show rate, and got to walk away with the premier issue as an added bonus (everyone that subscribed did, not …

Not really GM-merch related, but its close. I recently picked up a '71 AMC AMX (HERE) and a '72 Ford Falcon XB (HERE). On the packages, and on the website, the AMX is credited to being designed by Chrysler LLC, and born in Auburn Hills, Mich. The Ford is attributed to being Dearborn, uh, born. I'm sure the Aussies and AMC'ers would disagree. Really wish Hot Wheels could get it right, but they probably claim somewhere that they invented Matchbox cars in 1953... 15 years before Hot Wheels' appeared.

On a whim this morning I decided to check out www.gmccollections.com to see if anything new was listed for the holidays. I found this: 2009 GMC 1960 1000 Series Truck Ornament Link: http://www.gmccollection.com/itemdetails.aspx?productID=2137 While being offered at a reasonable $17 each, the site is requiring you to order a minimum of 6 pieces (costing $102 w/o S&H). I'd jump for it right now, but can't swing that amount. I sent an e-mail to my Buick-GMC dealership's parts dept to see if they are planning to order these for resale.

Not really a current GM merchandise, as I picked this up a couple years ago as a goof. So, as I mentioned in another thread, I have a remote control 1973 Pontiac Bonneville coupe (for some reason I was thinking it was a Catalina before). I picked this up at either Target or Walmart because I would have considered the 1973 Bonneville to be about the LAST GM car ANYONE would make a toy out of. No offense to fans of the '73... its just not as iconic as, say, 50 or 70 other GM models. Unfortunately, it is a donked remote with a wired remote control. Cheesy. It also has a crazy dragon sticker on the sides. The poor thing was all by itself, and I felt bad. Since its actually …

http://luxurydiecast.com Offering 1:43 diecast in the following GM vehicles: Escadlade Hybrid, Chevrolet Suburban, Cadillac CTS-V, Cadillac Converj (check the website for pictures) I found the Presidential Limo (2009 Cadillac DTS-modifed) at Wal-Mart in August for $14.99; seen it at hobby stores and some car show vendors before that for $29.99 and up. I've also seen the Presidential Suburban and CIA Suburban in person, again at $29.99 but didn't bite. They first entered the market with the Limo, then the Suburbans. The rest (CTS-V, Escalade, Converj) are all recent intro's.

I promised the little guy a new Hot Wheels track add-on (launcher), and upon entering the diecast aisle I see new Hot Wheels cars on the pegs. I look through and find the following: 1970 Chevelle SS Wagon (2009 New Models, #19/42); 1968 Oldsmobile 442 (Muscle Mania, #06/10); Custom V-8 Vega (2009 New Models, #23/42) (see attached pictures for each) I bought the Chevelle SS Wagon & Olds 442 and passed on the Vega, as I'm not a big fan of them.

At the prestigious Detroit Auto Show on December 21, 2007 Chevrolet officially announced the 2009 Corvette ZR1 - an American supercar that brings the technology and engineering refinement of carbon-fiber, ceramics and electronics together in a distinctive design. The ZR1 is instantly recognizable, with perhaps the most identifiable feature a raised, all-carbon-fiber hood that incorporates a clear, polycarbonate window. The window provides a view of the top of the engine's intercooler, with the legend "LS9 SUPERCHARGED" embossed on the left and right sides, and an engine cover with the Corvette crossed flags logo debossed at the front. Jada Toys, makers of popular diecas…

I guess because of poor sales but this is a real shame and disapointment to the model car community. Hopefuly another company buys the molds and continues to produce them.

...but too bad it's just another Matchbox and not the real thing. This one is pretty cool, and I was lucky to find more than one on the rack: (btw, sorry for the crappy droid phone pics)

You guys might have missed these, as I only saw them recently in the cereal aisle. There are 9 cars available, each branded with a General Mills cereal... making these something of a collectors item years from now. I picked up the Cocoa Puffs '57 Buick hardtop station wagon and the Count Chocula '70 Chevelle sedan delivery. There are also... '51 GMC C.O.E. - Honey Nut Cheerios '40 Ford C.O.E. - Cinnamon Toast Crunch '29 Ford Pickup - Boo Berry Hiway Hauler - Lucky Charms Custom '77 Dodge Van - Franken Berry Deco Delivery - Trix '70s Van - Wheaties There is a video someone made that really shows them off pretty good... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwCizlnlA…

Picked up this years Hallmark ornaments this weekend... The Classic American Cars Series was a T-bird. The All American Trucks Series was a yellow SSR. And... a no series ornament this year is the Corvette Stingray Concept (also known as Sideswipe). There is no Transformers tie-in with this, so this may be the first semi-realistic rendering of this car.
