SEMA '06: 2007 Cadillac SRX Sport

Well, I'm hoping this one off design stays that way.

Car manufacturers must learn that clothing designers

never are able to translate those skills to the automotive

sector - BMW did a few "one offs" like that before with its 3 series

and the results were horrid to say the least.

I see the attempt she made with the car seats - good attempt,

however, it ended up looking like my grandpa's E-z chair recliner

with the pattern...

Car people, lets get some car people!.........

rand.

The lighter beige should go all the way up the stack, IMO. It looks awkward changing color halfway.

I think it looks weird there because that's not really how it looks in the production vehicle. If you get black it's black all the way up the stack, and if you get tan then it's similar to this except that the darker color isn't as dark. It works in the "real" SRX because everything under the wood (in this case marble) is tan so it doesn't look so out of place.

If the bottom half of the dash in this model would have been tan also it would have made sense to end the center stack where it is. However since the dark brown continued on the bottom half of the dash (under the marble), then it really does make the center stack color change look out of place. My opinion would be to have the tan outline the entire stack to make it 'pop' off the rest of the dash and really highlight it as the command center for the vehicle.
