TCC Test: 2007 Ford Mustang GT500

With the demise of the truly fantastic Ford GT, the Shelby GT500 is left to carry Ford Motor Company's performance mantle. While it is clearly the king of all current Mustangs, it's no Ford GT. However, this is an appropriate time to utter, "The King is dead, long live the King."

I'm tired of the Ford GT to GT500 comparisons... OF COURSE it's no GT!

Apparently it got a bad write up in C&D recently, as all the junk mail (read: Readers opinions) that they publish had nothing but bad things to say about the car. So I'm sure it's damned from the start.

Well, in the article they said that the brakes gave up after a few good corners. That's not saying much for the car. Then, they keep comparing it to the GT which is retarded because there's no way in hell the Mustang could ever be a Ford GT.

I still don't think the GT500 is as well-made and well-engineered as it could and should be.
