Chevy Impala

Wanted to design a sportier, more daring, RWD Impala. Inspiration for it's design came from numerous places... with the one I have in mind the most being the '59 Impala. Thought I'd make a modern attempt at it's rear.

That's gorgeous. Nice work. 8)

Only one thing, though: you're missing one taillamp. :D

It's called perspective... Not everything's going to be visible. :P

Or wait *looking at antione's post*, are you thinking about Impala's having three lamps per side? Technically, there is, if so. The reverse lights. They're smaller yes, but they count.

Gorgeous.

I'd love Chevy to take a similar approach rather than going retro.

Something about the profile says Lexus GS.

I see BMW in it too, but it looks very upscale and tasteful.

I dunno if I see it as an Impala, maybe something more in line with Pontiac.

Awesome work

Damn, that looks great, Vipes. Love the rear end treatment. It may have a tad too much BMW in the side treatment though. Still, very muscular and elegant.

I know that. :D

Nope. Not gonna count. It needs three red taillamps per side with a reverse light in each inboard one. :D

Appearantly, you haven't looked at many classic Impalas, but just followed everyone else's talking of Impala's have three lamps per side but came up with your own little idea of how they should look. Impala's with three lamps per side, often had the reverse light in the middle and sometimes without a red outer ring. Duh. :D:P

Here's a few that I know of...

Your talent is obvious even in designs I hate - like this one.

Bastard child of Lexus and BMW and totaly offensive as a Chevy. Really well done but oh so wrong. :nono:
