Nope, Cobalt taillights would be much smaller than the ones you put on there..

I just made the same chop in the Malibu thread. Here it is:

EDIT: Here's another version (requested by balthazar; inspired by Chevy SS Concept):

I like that one the best, except make the panel black instead of the grey.

wow!! that one with the black rear panel looks great!! so much better than the oddly shaped taillights on the actual 'bu... with some cleaning up that could be perfect... maybe for a Malibu Sport? (remember... SS is more exclusive now... look for the "sport" badge on anything without at least a V8 if not RWD)

Main problem I see with this rear end is that it looks TOO much like the Cobalt with those tails. The panel helps some, but at the same time I like the simplicity without it. What about adding one more red tail to each side (2 red circles, 1 white)?

Or like this?

While the black panel chop looks sweet.. I think I will have to agree with PrudeGuy, a family resemblance isn't bad I think it needs a bit more diferentation.

There's no Chevy rule saying they have to be circles either, maybe square them off (91+ C4) or ovalish (c5) or cut off circle (Camaro concept).
