That car is awsome mostly becuse Jay Leno, one of the coolest car guys in the world

built it as a big F**K YOU! to FWD. This thing may be hacked up & butchered but its

still the coolest Toronado ever made.

The RWD Toranado is cool, but personally I'd keep the design and function as close to original as entirely possible. Doing that is almost like bastardizing a Cord 810/812 by making it RWD.

Almost as bad... true but for the RIGHT cause.

L29 would be a travesty too...

Cords were sexy cars.

This thing may be hacked up & butchered but its still a Riviera with a Toronado bodyshell.

Fixed.

Calling this thing a Toronado is just stupid. The entire founding principle of the Toronado was front-wheel drive, front-wheel drive, front-wheel drive. This might as well be a Riviera with a big engine and a Toro bodyshell.

I will always want to own one. I would keep FWD because it sweet to do burnouts with FWD since it looks so weird. It has the best styling of the time period, No doubt about it

Collectible Automobile this month has a feature on the '71-78 Toronados- lots of styling pics from inside the Olds Studio... lots of scary, split-grilled, ground-sucking, Hoover-esque Toros....

RPO model pics merely reminded me: I never see '70s Toros anymore- tho I see '70s Rivs & Eldos still.
