California Authorities Install Nation’s First Stop Sign Cameras

We’ve all heard and weighed in on the merits of stoplight cameras, but now California’s Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority (MRCA) has installed five stop sign cameras in the Santa Monica Mountains.

A friend told me a pretty funny story about one of the speeding cameras, thought I'd share it here.

He went to university in Germany. They had a news piece there one day about a guy who got away with speeding past a camera because he had no front plate and the picture that the camera took of what was supposed to be his face was instead his naked butt, which he had flipped upside down to point at the camera.

Can you imagine trying to drive a car, upside down with your pants off? :lol:
