I have been working on my Toronado, and I am having a hard time deciding on the new exterior color. I wished I had the ability to take one of the photos in the other thread and just photo shop the colors on the car, but I do not. If someone can and post them here, it would be nice.

Here is a photo of my car in case any one can. Here is a photo just so you know what I am working with.

Now my personal choices are:

black sapphire blue

black

black with a silver or platinum lower body

I was also inspired by this Toronado too:

Since I'm partial to Red's, I voted burgundy, but any of the dark colors (black or sapphire blue) would do it justice.

Darker colors.

On a side note, there's something evil about having a car painted in 'gun metal gray'.

Obviously based on that interior the only color to choose is black :P

It's very nice Toronado. I'm going to try to do some colors for you, but that yellow color may be too light to do color changes.

Edit: Yeah, it's too light. Sorry.

Thank you for trying.. It is appreciated. I will let people continue to vote and comment. It seems :

black and burgundy are winning out big time. The last Oldsmobiles were burgundy, and that color was popular among Oldsmobiles over the years.

Based on the voting, it might be black. What is shocking is no one really wants black sapphire blue...The shocker for me is the black upper and silver lower is in a close third. That Ninety Eight in my signature is black and silver.

The black over silver would be the color scheme I would choose for a Ninety Eight...I've seen two tone Toronado's and it dosen't work with the design. Straight black is the way to go.

The votes have taken a turn... Interesting. I will tell you this.. I wanted the burgundy when I had the first Toronado. The car was the next color red below it. It was called medium red. I hated that one totally. After the accident before the paint job, I lost interest in burgundy. I avoid green cars too because of the accident I had in the Ninety Eight. When I was a child, we had a green car that was in an accident.

Your opinion matters Blackviper. Why did you pick that color?

You can paint it any color you want.... as long as it's black.

It now looks like black and burgundy are in the lead.. And I already said no red cars for me. That black 1980 Toronado XSR looks nice.

That is a nice combo...however I still feel the Toronado styling is better suited for a single color.

I had a dream last night. I saw the color of the Toronado. It was black upper body and a silver /platinum lower body. I was driving it to meet a friend.

I guess now It's just meant to be that way ;). It would probably be bad juju to paint it a different colour than that now.
