8 posts in this topic

I was just thinking about the members here. I was thinking about the time before and the time after I returned. There have been major life changing things that have taken place. This will give others some idea about others and how much change can impact your life Who around here in the last 1 to 6 years:

1. graduated high school

2. Went off to college

3. Lost a job after being employed there for years

4. Bought a new house

5. Bought a new or used car

6. Lost a favorite car

7. Got engaged or married

8. Came out as gay to themselves or others

9. Was in a car accident

10. Switched careers

11. Was in or experienced a health crisis

12. Lost a family member or loved one

13. Lost a friend due to some dispute or otherwise or felt betrayed by a friend

14. Been entangled legally with the law

15. Experienced a loss of a relationship or divorce or separation.

16. graduated college

If you have, list what it was if you can, discuss how it impacted your life and what the changes have done to your life now.

I will start:

I bought my second Ninety Eight in 2003 after the first one was totaled in an accident in 2003. I bought a second Toronado in December 2006 after the first one was totaled in an accident. I was in two car accidents in 2003 and 2006. I bought the first Toronado in June 2006. My grandfather died in 2002. I stop being friends with this older woman who was never really my friend because she had other motives and was up to no good. I do not miss her or her friendship. It has made very cautious in opening up to people and developing new friendships. I was in a brief relationship in 2002-2003. I have no idea where he is, we have unfinished business as we lost contact. I still have feelings for him. He needed to grow up. That situation caused me to evaluate my own life and change things about myself. I am very happy with those changes. I was raped in 2001-2002. It changed my whole outlook on dating and the whole meeting people online thing. I am still working through the whole intimacy and sex thing because of that.

1. New 'boyfriend' 5 1/2 years ago, after the 'old' one (10 years) shuffled on to a 'younger' man (lasted 3 months!)

2. Nearly croaked in January and after 16 years of fighting the Black Beast and winning, I am now on $1,400 a month

worth of meds, but I've gained 19 lbs (I was down to 168 in Jan. and at 6'2", that ain't pretty), look good, feel good

Other than that, same old same old....................[shrugs}

In that time I...
