I like almost everything about it except for the color. Verve Red, please!

Best looking car in the class, hands down. Very sorry to hear we will not get the 3-door, as the sedan is sleepy by comparison.

Yes, and in a subcompact like that, a sedan is rather pointless..the 3dr and 5dr versions look better and are more practical..

I hope our version is called Verve, I like that name. It looks fantastic. I hope the guys at Ford open their eyes and give us the hatch and the sedan (which looked very good as well). It better look this good for us and not dumbed down...also and if it does I hope future Ford cars look more like this. Interior looks great too.

The Fiesta name has 30+ years' history. They wouldn't change the name of the Mustang, would they?

The Fiesta name has history, sure, but just ask someone off the street what they think of when you say that particular name ... I don't think their response would be as rosy red as if you asked them what they think of when you say the name "Mustang" in comparison.

Yes, outside the US. It was only sold here for a brief time. I think in the US, many people would confuse it with the Festiva, which was a real POS.

My thoughts exactly. Fiesta sounds too much like Festiva, something I doubt Ford would want people to remember when looking at this car.

Verve would also be very descriptive of the car.

What's more it's also respected, thanks to great handling, if somewhat boring design in the last couple of generations.

Oh, and I still prefer the new Corsa, which not only looks good, but has nicer engines to boot.

The Corsa's interior is a whole league below the Festia at this point.

I like it, I actually like a Ford vehicle! Nice interior design, too.

With brands like Ford and Opel offering ever better B-segment cars, and with rumours of Saab getting a MINI fighter (Delta2?/Gamma?), MINI will have a hard time getting business from me in the future.

When I think of Fiesta, I think of the 1978 to 1980 version, not the Festiva. The first Fiesta was a very decent small car for its time. With 35 mpg CAFE, a large percentage of car buyers are going to have to shift to cars like this in the coming years.

the hatch should come here as well. it's a much more attractive alternative to burgeoning families, youth, and empty nesters as it offers total interior space and cargo space greater than the sedan with better looks to boot. plus the hatch just looks more youthful.

the 5door hatch and the sedan are confirmed for US - 3door hatch is more and more of a possibility every day as well (Farley is pushing for it).

Ford should aspire to better names than Fiesta... something with more "edge". There should be a probe into which "maverick" authorized this and they should be SHOwn the door and escorted out, pronto! At least the car has nice contours.
