Cars with Wood

Recommended Posts

Buick needs to put this into production now!...recapture the glory years.

But seriously, alot of thought and work went into this vehicle, obviously with a love of that era of Buick and wood.

Here's the website of the builder:

Those are all nice but give me a Packard woody any day of the week!

This 1940 Super 8 bodied by Hercules will do nicely.

Something so timeless about woodies....wonderful example.

(could I take a copy of your sig, I collect photos of carriers)

I'd love to have an Eagle for a DD.

I like those Eagles too.

Some people make jokes about the wood sided station wagons, and yes it's fake wood, but there is something so comforting about how they look, so Americana. They are the successors of the woodies.

Here's a nice example of a 1978 Chevrolet wagon:

Right on, it's Vacation time!

I have always wondered why they modified this car in this way, the double stacked headlights etc.....

1984 Chrysler Town & Country, they actually produced this.

Remember it in 'Planes, Trains & Automobiles'?
