The Camaro Team wants to know

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon, Camaro Comrades and Firebird Friends!

(and please feel free to share the following with your clubs and Camaro/Firebird friends!)

When looking at the new Camaro -- are you interested in the V6 or V8 engine? Do you seek the direct input of a manual transmission, or are you more comfortable with an automatic transmission? Will the Camaro be the car you drive every day, or just on weekends? When do you plan to purchase your new Camaro?

Now that the wraps have been taken off the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, we would like your feedback on what features are important to you.

By clicking on the link below, you will be sent to a third party site -- MyProductAdvisor.com -- where your answers to various questions are collected and analyzed.

Note - you must access the site by this specific url.

http://www.myproductadvisor.com/mpa/auto/inputSummary.do

The process is pretty easy, but a little time consuming (plan to spend about 20 minutes answering questions). The site is split into a number of sections from "Auto Usage" to "Recommendations". These sections are dedicated to general automotive consumer research -- not just sport cars like Camaro but other cars and trucks (for example you’ll be asked questions on truck bed length, four cylinder engines, turning radius, etc.). We suggest you answer the questions on the site as if your mind is set on the Camaro (or like vehicle).

Please start the survey by clicking and answering a question on "Auto Usage." You have the option of answering all the applicable questions in each section (highly recommended), or just answering one question in "Auto Usage", and moving directly to "Recommendation" button on the right corner.

In this survey, the "Recommendation" button will not provide an automotive recommendation, but will start the second part of the survey which is dedicated just to Camaro. Once the "Recommendation" button is clicked, a picture of the 2010 Camaro will appear inviting you to link into the Camaro survey. The questions will include option descriptions and price ranges; but please note, these prices are being provided to determine demand, and do not necessarily reflect final Camaro pricing or packaging.

Your answers will go a long way in helping Chevrolet bring the 2010 Camaro to market in the first quarter of 2009.

Thank you for your time in participating in this research event.

The Camaro Launch Team

The first two cars they recommended me after I completed the survey were the Mustang (first place) and then the Challenger (second place). :smilewide:

I am a Pony Car kind of guy. :AH-HA_wink:

Hmm, that shouldn't have happened. Did you get to the specific Camaro survey? You have to complete the first part (the general stuff) and then click on the Recommended button to go to the Camaro specific survey.

I've done every bit of the survey on that site, didn't see anything about a specific Camaro one.

I took the survey three or four days ago after seeing the link on another site (same link). If you follow the instructions EXACTLY as the first post tells you, you will get to the Camaro survey, at least that's how it worked on my computer.

There aren't any EXACT instructions to begin with... anything I do, I keep getting the same crap (Accord, Civic, RAV4...)

How much more in the way of exact instructions do you need? Do EXACTLY what it says and you will get to the Camaro specific part AFTER you fill out the general survey.

Browser issues?

Worked easily for me the first time.

Make sure that you hit "submit" after you answer at a question in the general survey (scroll around a bit to see the whole page). Maybe that will help. When you do that, it will show a green check mark on that section. Once you see the check mark, try the recommendations button.

Other than that, I have no idea why you guys can't access this.

Okay, so I moved the slider on one question under Auto Usage, hit submit, then went to Recommendations and still GOT NOTHING.

The directions aren't the problem here, wildpaws.

Well I can't tell you why so many here are having problems, like I said in my first post on this thread, I saw the link on another forum, filled out the survey completely, hit the reccommend button and went directly to the Camaro portion. So no problem for me to access it.

There are about six pages of posts here about completeing the survey: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.p...5785&page=3 , I don't think I saw anybody in the entire six pages say they could not get to the Camaro specific part, so I don't know what the issue is. And it's the same on a couple of other forums I'm on, no problems there either.

I finally got to the Camaro portion, but I had to go to the link to the Camaro5 site that wildpaws provided. I think that $400-$500 is a bit steep for a 6-way power driver's seat, but the other options seemed reasonable. I really like the 20" rims, and the 18" aluminum rims weren't bad either.

Here is the link off of the Camaro5 forum: http://www.myproductadvisor.com/mpa/...y.do?refId=cs3 . It looks like the link in this thread was not complete.

That link is "broken," but...

... go to the link on page one of the thread linked above. Then, click on each option/bar thing, but don't drag it (just click it to leave it at zero, or whatever it begins at). Finally, click submit, then click to see the recommended cars. Only the Camaro should come up.

OK, I went in this morning and copied the web addy directly from the myproductadvisor website, I've tried it three times over several hours and this link works following the original instructions (you only need to answer one question in the "Auto Usage" section then click on recommendations to get the Camaro link). So here is the correct link to start from:

http://www.myproductadvisor.com/mpa/auto/i...ry.do?refId=cs3

Edit: The C&G site keeps changing the link when I post it, it still worked for me, I hope it does for everyone else.
