New Fusion and Milan spy shots!

Recommended Posts

The front end of the restyled Fusion looks to be a much more refined improvement over the design of the current car. I couldn't really tell too much about the Milan because the camouflage did a much more effective job of distorting the details. The restyled rear end treatments are a little hard to make out too due to the camouflage. I do think the restyling and powertrain upgrades will be enough to keep these cars competitive until replacements arrive for the 2012 model year, hopefully (for the Fusion at least, I'm not sure Mercury will have a midsize sedan in the future since it is supposed to be a premium small car specialist to complement Lincoln).

We can't wait to see this thing badged as the Fusion GT with a 3.5L EcoBoost V6 under its new hood

Who will have a competitor to that car?! other than Saab... anyone in the price range it will most likely be? high 20K or low 30K?

The Fusion looks pretty good. Ecoboost V6 could make that thing really fast, although I think the real achievement will be the 35 mpg hybrid.

but it doesn't have 72 way power seats, 21.1 surround sound, and won't get to 60 faster than a 335i.... so it's crap.

the four cylinder ecoboost in this car will be the champion.

although, we keep HEARING about the ecoboost, its kind of like WHEN DOES IT HIT THE SHOWROOM

I like the look of it, but it may be just an average driving car, I never drove a Fusion/Milan/MKZ. The Fusion/Milan are pretty light, so they will be fast with ecoboost, but I would never compare it to a BMW, I'd compare it to the Malibu and Aura. The Malibu and Aura don't get 35 mpg like the Fusion hybrid well, so GM better find some more R&D dollars to get 9 mpg more out of the Malibu hybrid.

EcoBoost is nice. I saw this Saab 9-3 Cabrio ad today championing how its engine recycles exhaust energy. I suppose "EcoBoost" does that, too. Beat that, Prius!

I believe two-mode will make it into Epsilon II vehicles... so there's the research dollars...
