How LOW can you GO?

Recommended Posts

Last night, I was driving home and saw some nice gas prices. I found, at a Safeway filling station, in Northern California (though not coastal), gas for $ 2.52.9 and that was prior to the 3 cent Safeway club card discount. That puts it at a hair under $2.50.

That same Safeway, 6 months ago, had gone as high as $ 4.49.9. Looks like I may take a few road trips.

What's happening with fuel prices in your area?

$1.94

Holy cow, you guys have it even better over there huh?

The lowest fill up of 2008 for me was like $25 in the Mercedes

and having over a half a tank since it was the Irving at $2.39.

And, like Sunoco, Shell & Gulf, Irving is DOMESTIC OIL. :w00t:

We've typically got some of the lowest gas prices in the country. In fact, southwest Missouri has an insanely low cost of living by just about any measure. But the weather is schizophrenic, jobs can be a bitch to find and culture is non-existent.

Edit: Gasbuddy has one station at $1.92 and a couple at $1.93.

From a similar thread on a Malibu forum, it seems like a LOT are actually under the $2 mark.

I just filled up yesterday at $2.29, and paid $2.39 to do the same Thursday at the beach before a highway trip. Probably will drop lower, in days to come, here in southern DE.

Got gas in the '87 MC LS today ... $2.49 a gallon!

AWESOME!

He heh...just hope these lower prices don't reduce enthusiasm for alternative fuel projects.....never know when we might need that alternative fuel....

$2.26/gallon.

I think that's the cheapest it's been

here in the Merrimack Valley since

I bought my '59 Buick back in April

of 2007, but I could be wrong by a

few pennies.

It was quite nice to pump over four

gallons into the Panzer-top for just

ten bucks, flash-back to June when

I was driving a Cadillac that was

25% less efficient on fuel & fueling

up at $4.50+ a gallon.

I fillled up the silver beast last week @ 2.69/gal, for $51 total.. I can commute for 2 weeks on a full tank, not bad.

Each time I drive the 500SEC I fall in love with it

a little more.... what a fantastic, solid car. And to

think even OIL STARVATION did not kill it, now

with 199,225 miles as of this morning, I have no

reason what so ever to distrust its reliability.

Nice... I'm really loving the 500SEL the more I drive it...it's so solid..no squeaks and rattles at over 176k miles now. .. it's running great currently (my sister replaced a lot of things over the last 6 years). In this weather, I'm enjoying driving with the huge sunroof open and windows down. Been driving the 300CE with all the windows down occasionally also.

I haven't driven my Jeep in a month...the Mercs had been sitting so much for the last year, they really needed to be driven.

I drove in, it was $2.34. Two were ahead of me in line. Cashier said "if you wait a minute, we're in the midst of lowering the gas prices". We waited, and paid $2.29. My "low fuel" warning came on yesterday... yet I still spent less than $30 to fill my tank for the first time in MANY a moon. Edited by ocnblu

Yup.... it's never a good thing when a car just sits.
