Amazing that someone with no experience, no accomplishments, a racist mindset and a laundry list of subversives & radicals could actually swing this.

Thousands of empty-headed idiots out there waving their arms to the rock star, the Messiah, to save them, to give them something they haven't earned and break the back of this country. (Remember this is coming from someone that VOTED for Gore.....and Kerry.....)

And if I see ONE MORE report covering the fact that it's significant that an african american got elected....I'm gonna destroy something. Are we voting RACE....or who will lead the country best?

I can't WAIT to see all the grandstanding to come from the "minorities."

(And I'm someone that would have GLADLY voted for Condelezza Rice....had she run....)

I don't care for politics, but you might as well have summed up the 2004 election!

While I'm at it... I think both parties screwed up. The Democrats had it in the bag by just choosing a solid candidate. They didn't need to go so extreme as to push two candidates that would be 'firsts' if elected. The Republicans then followed suit by picking Palin (I think they would have had a much better chance my again, choosing a solid VP candidate).

Palin wasn't the final nail in McCain's presidential coffin, his campaign had been in ADHD mode for some time before she was selected. Biden was the safest choice possible for Obama, the best pick to reassure the country.

First time voters made up 11% of the electorate, thats pretty special right there.

The way I look at it, what we saw tonight is a vote for the future, for modernity; rather than for an outdated worldview of the past, which the failed neocon mindset represents.

.....more like a vote for the past ("cough, cough....Jimmy Carter") and a vote for socialism......

The way I look at it, what we saw tonight is a vote for the future, for modernity; rather than for an outdated worldview of the past, which the failed neocon mindset represents.

I think the biggest failure is Reaganomics...followed by our militaristic approach to diplomacy.

Carter was actually a much better president than Reagan, or Bush Jr, and at least as good as Bush Sr.

The long, national nightmare in America will soon be over. Obama is too pragmatic to lead the country to a sharp left, though Congress will try to steer there.

I think Obama is going to be the next JFK...and the anti-Reagan, in that he will start to undo some of the damage Reagan started 30 years ago...

Obama has Volker and Buffet backing him on economic policy. Volker, not Reagan, was the one who ended the Carter era stagflation.
