Guest Josh Posted November 4, 2005 Ford Motor Co. says it will soon offer wireless mobile offices in its F-series pickups, an option aimed at building contractors and others who do business on the road. A Ford F-250 Super Duty truck with a mobile office is being shown this week at the Specialty Equipment Market Association show in Las Vegas. Ford expects to offer the mobile office as an accessory in 2006. Pricing isn't final, but it would cost around $3,000 for a wirelessequipped computer, printer and global positioning system, a Ford spokesman said. 76ChevyTrucker 2 Posted November 7, 2005 I can't help but agree, especially if it will actually be used by people who will need it instead of the goobers who go out and buy something like that just to 'have it'
KaliRover 0 Posted November 7, 2005 an article by msnbc, in a way looked down on this mobile system, asking if hardcore trucker's really need "geek gadgets".... I guess it's based on image for them, worrying too much about the people who just "Gotta have it" over those who really need it. Wierd.
