4,000 lbs? Mid-size V6 sedan? Sheesh. Pig. Sexy pig, but still... pig. Peformance and fuel economy will not be what they could be.

A Lexus ES is under 3,600.

4,000 lbs? Where does it come from? What could this thing possibly have that requires 500 extra pounds? Some things never change at GM. Flame away.

this is the best looking buick sedan since the 95 riv (and how long BEFORE THAT?) and yet people are being raggy about it looking 'foreign' or 'not buick'.

step back people. this is huge. enjoy it for once!

that said, seems to me like some of the interior plastic could be better.

cool thing. park this thing NEXT to the 95 riviera. they look perfectly in company with each other, don't they?

Its the second best looking Buick since the '95 Riv.

I thought the new Chinese Park Avenue was the best looking Buick since the '95 Riv... but granted, it doesn't look Buick enough.

I don't see it... but it is closer than the F150 comparison earlier... the Buicks clearly don't have a bed. ;-)

I see it in the interior, however.

It is bigger than the ES350, it is the same size as the Avalon. However an Avalon starts at 3490 lbs, and is 3610 for the limited. So LaCrosse is 450-500 more. It could be cheap steel that is heavy; lighter weight metals cost more and GM has to nickle and dime somewhere.

Heavier weight will make it ride better on the cratered roads of the Rust Belt.

Apparently the Malibu handles it's substantial mass very well.
