report back! are you using thick bacon?

Yep, thick bacon. Also, I'm using all natural sweet Italian sausage. The other stuff is full of corn syrup and $h!. Only problem is that it's in links...so i'll have to get it out of the "wrapper" or whatever.

Also bought some new BBQ saouce...it's local so that's cool. Olde Cape Code BBQ and Grilling Sauce. No corn syrup either...tried it on a chicken sandwich and thought it was very good. Here's hoping!

"... The entire meat log contains something like 5,000 calories and 500 grams of fat."

You don't get to be the nation of lard-asses without too much pride in making anything edible, plus a whole lot of ignorance for your health. That ugly thing ranks right up there on the gross scale next to cannibalism.

HAHAHA I love the side salad.

Ironic right? I like broccoli. :P

yum, that looks great. how was it tasting?

Amazing...dude you have to try it at least one. This certainly isn't something to have every day...but like most things, in moderation it's not a problem.

Well 1.) Don't eat the whole thing yourself 2.) I fail to see how it's "right up there with cannibalism". Ever have bacon and sausage with breakfast? That's this is that + seasoning and BBQ. OH T3H NOES!11

Dude, lay off. I've been to Canada several times, and it isn't like everyone up there is as thin as the Europeans generally are, either.

Well it looks like an elephant is missing his penis before it is cut, but the picture on the plate doesn't look bad atall. I couldn't eat it though. Good job, DF.

I've never hunted for elephant penis before. Why do they cut them, I would think they would want to leave as much there to offset the front wheel drive like weight imbalance of the snout in the front.

No no no... the MEAT LOG BEFORE IT IS CUT resembles what could be imagined a baked elephant penis looks like. I would never advocate mutilating perfectly good genitalia on a human, let alone a defenseless pachyderm.

Reading can be fun! Understanding is another thing...

1) The point wasn't that one would have to eat the whole thing, but that one decent slice is like eating half a box of Twinkies. I didn't think perspective was so difficult.

b) "That ugly thing ranks right up there on the gross scale next to cannibalism." <-- Which is to say, cannibalism is gross, and IMHO, so is that log-o-lard

iii) I recall Captainbooya exclaiming, "God Bless America!", as well as a reference to West Virginia at the sight of the two relatively heavy men. Face it, you're a 'growing' nation with many proud to be free to eat their way to the grave. Yeah, it's a problem in many places, but it's not any better in the home of the Whopper.

Mmmmmm.... I'd try it, it's certainly "over the top" but then again that's the point.

Rice cakes are delicious.

I bet bacon-wrapped rice cakes would be great. I made a quick bacon sandwich this morning---4 strips, some cheese, in an English muffin. Tasty. Made one the other day with pita bread. Haven't made one yet w/ naan, but have naan and bacon in the fridge....hmmm...could make a tasty dinnerish snack before 'Top Gear' and '24' are on.
