Volvo S80

The new S80 will come in fwd or awd. It will have a 4.4 V8 option with 300 bhp.

Looks...fine. I've always liked the S80, so evolving it instead of making something brand-new is a good thing. And what I like about the S80 (its nice proportions) is why I hate the S60 and especially the S40 - those look nothing but squashed.

They're working now! Looks good, but there are hints, subtle hints, of Volkswagen in the overall execution. Hard to explain... just an impression.

I like some of the details, but somehow, the proportions scream Lucerne. The wheels look itty-bitty, and from the side, it, too, looks like a bell. Maybe it's just an illusion from the cover.

I see Malibu in the rear end, and a nice evolution in the front. I also see that Audi/VW, Ven. And a little of the new Mitsu face up front...I'm probably the only one who sees that, though. I think I'll like it. Edited by El Scorcho
