OnStar calls Hennessey after tuned CTS-V pulls .99 g

Recommended Posts

On its way to doing the 1/4-mile in 11.07 seconds at 128 mph, a Hennessy-tuned 700-horsepower Cadillac CTS-V hit .99 longitudinal G as it left the start line. By the end of the run the phone inside the car was ringing, and it was your friendly neighborhood OnStar representative wondering "What the hell do you think you're doing?" Ok, not quite... but they did have some questions.

This is kind of old news... IIRC, Car and Driver or some other testers had OnStar calling them while testing the CTS-V or the G8 GXP about 9 months ago. OnStar needs tuning on these faster models.

 i think i would at the very least put a go cart helmet on if i am fiddle farting down the 1/4 mile in one of those... spinning wheels in 2nd could lead to spinning car in the 1/8. just sayin...
