LAND ROVER CONFIRMS FIVE-DOOR EVOQUE MODEL

Although Land Rover only brought a three-door version of its new Range Rover Evoque model to the Paris Motor Show, the British automaker confirmed that a five-door version of the premium crossover is in the works.

Earlier rumors suggested Land Rover would only bring a three-door version of the Evoque to market – which seemed to be supported by the company’s Paris show car – but Land Rover Managing Director revealed on Thursday that a five-door version is also on the way.

No launch date was given for the five-door Evoque, but Land Rover says it will bow by year’s end, indicating a Los Angeles debut.

Expect the five-door Evoque to feature the same 2.0L 236 horsepower four-cylinder that will be used in its three-door counterpart.
