Oooooohhh!

It's getting the Ford family headlights. :rolleyes:

I was just yesterday comenting to Xp how much of a waste of sheetmetal the Freelander is.

"you just bought a Ford Escape and overpayed by $8,000 how do you feel?" :P

I can't speak for the new one coming out, but I would say the quality of the old one was worse than the current Escape. What a pile!!

My friends Chevy Tracker felt better put-together inside than the old Freelander. Its real easy to make improvements when you set the bar that low.

It looks good so far except...that center stack...the black plastic looks so cheap. Seen better trim in an Accent

...this is clearly very pre-production. I can see places where trim is supposed to go that currently has no trim...why would they outfit their test mules with the real interior pieces and their accompanying expense? They wouldn't/won't. Overall, the DESIGN is very nice, including the center stack and its layout. Looks like it will be very easy to live with if not downright enjoyable.

ETA: It just has a hole where the nav screen will go...c'mon guys, these are obviously not the final materials :rolleyes:
