VOLVO AMPS UP PRE-OWNED PROGRAM BY OFFERING FREE MAINTENANCE

Certified pre-owned programs have helped automakers make used car sales more profitable by offering buyers extended warranties, multi-point inspections and other perks, but Volvo is raising the bar another level.

The automaker’s new Protection Plus+ Program will now cover a certified pre-owned Volvo’s factory scheduled maintenance for six years or 100,000 miles from the vehicle’s original purchase or in-service date. The program already included a six-year, 100,000-mile $0 deductible bumper-to-bumper warranty extension and on-call roadside assistance.

The program doesn’t have an end date, so it could become part of Volvo’s long term CPO deal.

Volvo currently offers a five-year, 60,000-mile protection for any new vehicle purchased.
