FORD CREDIT LANDS NEW CFO, FOMOCO APPOINTS NEW INVESTMENT DIRECTOR

By Mark Kleis

The holiday season is in full swing, and while most workers nationwide are sneaking out of the offices a bit early to start or finish their holiday shopping, two folks at Ford will almost certainly be putting in their full hours before stepping home.

The first is K.R. Kent, who currently serves as the CFO to Ford’s credit arm – Ford Credit – who will not be shifted to the newly created position of executive director, Investor Relations. Ford says they hope Kent’s new role will help to strengthen investment relations for Ford and Ford Credit in both equity and fixed income arenas.

“K.R. brings to this new position a deep knowledge of Ford, Ford Credit, the automotive and credit industries, and the global investment community,” said Ford Executive Vice President and CFO Lewis Booth. Booth also made mention of Ford’s intention to continue their move toward an investment grade credit rating, and that he believes Kent will play a pivotal role in this mission.

The second individual to have a reason to earn his pay is Michael Seneski, who will fill the gap left in the CFO position by Kent. Seneski currently serves as controller, Global and U.S. Marketing and Sales, but as of January 1 he will become CFO of Ford Credit.

Seneski first joined Ford back in 1989 and has since held numerous key finance positions in North America and Asia-Pacific, including vice president and controller, Ford Credit North America, and assistant treasurer, Ford Motor Company. Seneski holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in finance from the University of California-Berkeley.
