NINETY EIGHT REGENCY 185 Posted December 17, 2010 FORD, GENERAL MOTORS RESUME FULL PRODUCTION AFTER PARTS SHORTAGE By Mark Kleis Leftlane reported earlier this week that manufacturing had been disrupted at several factories after snow halted the delivery of parts for both GM and Ford plants. Now, both automakers have confirmed via telephone interviews that the acclimate weather has subsided and the roads that had previously been too buried in snow are open again, according to The Detroit News. As a result of the roads being closed, GM had faced either reduced or halted production at seven plants, located in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Ontario, Canada. Crosstown rival Ford had seen production drop at four plants, located in Illinois and Ontario, Canada. Representatives from both automakers said that they are considering ways to make up for the lost output, as the demand for the products exceeded their reduced production capabilities. link: http://www.leftlanenews.com/ford-general-motors-resume-full-production-after-parts-shortage.html
