For Sale: 1998 Buick Regal LS Sedan

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the response Oldsmoboi while I was on vacation ;)

My step-son enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on January 7 of this year. So far he has completed his basic training (Parris Island, SC) and his marine combat training (Camp Geiger, NC) and is currently at Fort Leonard Wood in Waynesville, Missouri awaiting an opening in the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) school. As such, he is no longer in need of his car as he's not likely to be stationed anywhere in NJ once he finishes MOS training. He'd rather take the money from the sale of the car and invest it into his education when he leaves the USMC in 4 years.

It' still for sale, in case anyone here may be interested :smilewide:

The Buick finally sold today. Yeah!!

Typical CL customer - told me he was coming yesterday and was a no-show, texted me last night to say he wasn't available and wanted to come this morning. We agreed on 9:00 am and I texted him at 9:45 to see if he was still coming. 10:30 he said he was on his way (30-40 minute drive) but shows up at 11:45. 20 minutes later we agreed on a price, he left a $100 cash deposit and was coming back in an hour with the rest of the cash, plates and his wife to drive his other car home (this would have been 1:00-ish). 2:00 pm he says his wife has an appointment and I waited long enough for this guy - I had errands to run. He was due back at 4:30 but showed up at 5:30! Gave me the cash and I handled the title and voila! the Buick is in new ownership and my step-son's bank account grows bigger :smilewide:

Final parting shot:

That was taken 5 minutes before the buyer came to finalize the deal.

In the end, a private sale is worth it, imo. Glad it worked out.

Thanks, oncblu! I'm glad it found a new owner that appreciates Buicks and is in the younger crowd (early 20s).

Here are some pictures I took after her left at noon:
