Chevrolet News:Meet the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro

Recommended Posts

Chevrolet has been teasing it for awhile and at a event in Belle Isle - near Detroit, MI - Camaro Six or the 2016 Camaro has been introduced.

Now if you were expecting a new style for the Camaro, then you'll be slightly disappointed as the basic shape is the same. Sure there are some slight changes to the front and rear, but Chevrolet played it safe. Don't mess with success.

At least under the skin, there are some massive changes. The big story is the Camaro utilizing a modified version of the Alpha platform found under the Cadillac ATS and CTS. Chevrolet says the Camaro is 28 percent more rigid than the outgoing model thanks to the switch to Alpha. Also the Camaro is expected handle better thanks to a slightly smaller size and 200 pound weight loss.

The suspension has been updated with a new multi-link MacPherson strut setup in the front, and a five-link independent setup in the rear. Brembo brakes become an option for most models, while SS gets them as standard. The SS also gets Magnetic Ride Control as standard.

Like the Ford Mustang, the Chevrolet Camaro will boast a turbo-four, V6, and V8 engines. Here's what the lineup will look like,

  • Turbocharged 2.0L Four: 275 Horsepower, 295 Pound-Feet of Torque
  • 3.6L V6: 335 Horsepower, 284 Pound-Feet of Torque
  • 6.2L LT1 V8: 455 Horsepower, 455 Pound-Feet of Torque
All engines get a choice of either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic.

Moving inside, the Camaro gets a new instrument panel that gets an optional eight-inch screen to show entertainment, navigation, and performance information. Another eight-inch screen in the center provides Chevrolet's MyLink infotainment system.

No word on pricing, but Chevrolet says the Camaro will be arriving at dealers in the fourth quarter.

Looks pretty much the same as Gen 5, I wish they went away from the retro look interior and to more of the modern Chevy interior.   The lower front grille is huge, I think it would look better with a larger upper grille and smaller on the bottom.  Too many cars do that big lower grill look.

I know a lot of people are going to bitch about the fact that GM didn't go far enough with the styling but as a three time Camaro owner I can tell you that I really like this.  It maintains the heritage styling cues while looking more sleek and athletic.  I honestly was not a fan of the initial 5th gen exterior but thought the refresh improved the looks.  This takes it the next step.  The 200 lb weight loss should help and I have no problem with the turbo 4 pot as the base engine.  Honestly if I was going to buy a Camaro and not buy the V8, I would take the turbo 4 over the V6 as they are much easier to extract more power out of.  All in all, I say good job GM!

Here's how I would rate the pony cars on style:

2012                                      2016

1) Challenger                        1) Challenger

2) Mustang                            2) Camaro

3) Camaro                             3) Mustang

Since I have not driven the latest Mustang or obviously this Camaro, here is my guess what the performance order will be for 2016:

1a) Camaro

1b) Mustang

2) Challenger (excludes Hellcat)

I have recently had the good fortune to drive a Scat Pack Challenger, though, and I can say that is a very sweet ride and in a straight line may out perform the Camaro SS and Mustang GT.  While it turns well enough on the street, on a track I highly doubt it would hold its own against either the SS or GT.

This car is about what I expected and I am good with that.

The nose is much like the last 5th gen to extend the line. The roof and c pillar have a lot of C7 in them and the rear has a taste of the 4th gen tail with bits of new all around.

The real sweet thing is this car will have more refinement than any Camaro that has ever been built. There was no compromise here this time where they ran out of money before they finished the car. The interior will have much better materials with fit and finish. This area always got short changed even in Gen one.

The weight is down and the power is up. The platform we already know is world class and is not contingent to also being a luxury car this time.

I fully expect the base SS to  bear out the Mustang GT. The Challenge really is not even in the conversation till they get a new platform. The Hell Cat got them some attention in light of a coming Mustang and Camaro revamp but in time that too will wear off as this and The Mustang are the complete package. There is more to life today than just spinning $250 tires to make smoke.

I love the blue and the RS spoiler as it fits the cars lines well. The interior is great in all but one area for me.

The only real issues I have are one the SS wing. It just looks dated and tacked on. Not a big fan of it. If I were to buy an SS I would delete the wing and buy the RS spoiler.

The interior I love especially in red and black. But the radio screen just looks like a GPS mounted to the dash and the Gauge pod would look better if it were connected at the top completely and no cut out.

Both of my hates are minor and should not be major issues with most buyers.

I expect the SS to really turn some heads with performance in all areas of stop, go and turn much like the C7 did and the later performance models will do just as the Z06 has done. This is the best Camaro out of the gate we have ever seen and it will only get better.

By the way I love the engine line up. The Camaro has never had three good choices like this. I just wish they had a Premium Required option on the Turbo so it would be over 300 HP. I do expect a upgrade kit for it much like my SS and the Solstice. With that the Solstice had 340 FT LBS. Image that in this car.

You can get a 2016 Camaro with a 2.0L 4 cyl. putting out 275 hp and 295 ft lbs. of torque.

There was the 1993 Camaro Z28 with an LT1 V8 that put out 275 hp and 325 ft. lbs. of torque.

I'd say there has been some progress made in engine technology and efficiency in the past 20+ years.

The performance battle with the Mustang should be pretty close.   I think the Ecoboost Mustang will beat the 4 and 6 cylinder Camaros because the Ecoboost has 320 lb-ft and weighs 3500 lbs.  The Camaro SS has more muscle than the Mustang V8 though, should be a little quicker than the Mustang GT.   The pony car war is heating up I think.

They've done a fantastic job modernizing the car without losing its identity.  I like the fact that it is not retro, yet it still honors the first-gen car.  A lot of people were hoping six would borrow from the second gen, and I may have been one of them back then, but not now.  The 2016 Camaro is truly a knockout.  I would probably choose the 2.0t over the 3.6L too, with a six speed manual, if I were in the market.

Perfection. We should be all glad this car exists in the age of electrics and driverless cars. I love this car inside and out. It's bold where the mustang is flaccid. Go GM! This would be an awesome daily driver. Spread the word! This is the new age of the muscle car. Want mpg? U got it. Want to shred tires? You got it. Be glad this exists in the governmental environment we have. GM is hitting it out of the park. Malibu, Volt, Cruze, now this. Spread the word! I even love the Lexus/toyota like interior. This should bring in some Asian Car fans too.

I like it. Improves upon the 5th's looks, while ushering in a new focus on interior refinement. The performance increases are welcome, too. The new 6 has my name all over it, especially since Ford has neutered the Mustang's 6.

I guess a limited production Z28 or ZL1 will get the LT4 eventually.

The exterior is very sleek which I like but the interior does not make much of an improvement over the 5th gen car. It is still a bit to bland and cheap looking.

Wish they could've sectioned the body a bit vs the current gen, but otherwise, I like it. I really like the improvements to the interior (though, I'm not a fan of that steering wheel).

At first, I was like blah.

Getting a chance to soak it all in, have to say I like it. Changes are simple on the outside. I agree with most, love the new interior....can even live with that night rider screen there....

Looking forward to seeing it on the road...

They hit the right mix of something old and something new. This is a segment where taking a major risk on a change can really set you back much if the present model is popular.

It is models like this that are for the enthusiast. This is what we love and treasure and would never be appreciated by a fan of a Google car.

be prepared as once you see it in person the perspective is even more changed. This car is lower and appears a little wider in looks. It has a much less upright look to it and gives it a much more aggressive look to it.

I know the media will pick a point or two to dwell on as not being perfect but this car will simply be at the top and for less money out run much more expensive models from Europe in a very convincing way. It will not just be faster lap times but it will have dynamics such as feel and transition that will out perform some of the best.

This will be a car that will make going fast feel slow and that is a mark of a well engineered car.

Did they make the side windows even smaller?  Are side view cameras included?  ;)   the sides seem very thick and the chop top look even more pronounced than the 5th gen...

The side has to have some thickness to it because of the side standards. Anything less than a 5 start crash rating in this segment as most others is a kiss of death for a model.

As for the window it is a little smaller but so is the C pillar. You will see out just find and to make any more vision in this area would compromise styling and structure.

The car over all is lower so it will be not as thick and the roof is lower.

You really need to see the car before you pass judgment. It is far from being a Challenger sized car. No Colorado proportions here.

I like that the Camaro does not have a huge front end overhang. It's very athletic looking that way. New Mustang still has a sort of big looking overbite in comparison.

At this point the only stat that matters to me is the 455HP/455 lb-ft of torque  8speed one. My next daily driver, unless gas goes thru the roof will be a something with more than 400HP. That being said... The Ecotec 2.0L turbo is estimated to do 0-60 in under 6 seconds and still get 30MPG. 3.6L is SAE Certified at 335HP, in a vehicle that is lighter than the last.

Just estimating on my own.. this 2.0L will be able to bring in numbers similar to the last gens V6 (5.6-5.8 sec to 60). This 3.6L with 23 more HP than my old 2011, which was capable of 0-60 in 5.6.. will be coming in at  under 5 seconds. V8??? Under 4 seconds. Why? Less weight than the luxury platform-mate ATS-V with almost as much power...

Ecotec 2.0L turbocharged SAE-certified 275 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque (400 Nm). Offers torque band with 90 percent of its peak torque available from 2,100 rpm to 3,000 rpm, and max torque from 3,000 to 4,500 rpm.

Special NOTE on the Turbo 4 Camro vs Mustang. The Mustang turbo 4 does have more power. but from what I've heard loses about 25 HP if using Regular gas. bringing it damn near with the same numbers as the 2.0L in Camaro

3.6L V-6  SAE-certified 335 horsepower and 284 lb-ft of torque. DI, AFM

6.2L LT1 V-8 engine, SAE-certified at 455 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque

and we Got some Happiness Cool  until LT4 makes its way into a ZL1 or Z28.. which I personally think will MERGE the two in the next Z28 the way the Z06 and ZR1 did.

I don't think it will be quite that fast.  The ATS coupe weighs less than the Camaro, even with a 200 lb weight loss, the Camaro would still be in the 3550-3800 range, which is what the Mustang is.

ATS with the 2.0T does 0-60 in 5.7 seconds, with the V6 it is 5.6.  I think the Camaro will be close to those numbers in the mid 5's.

The Ecoboost Mustang does 0-60 in 5.2 seconds with the auto and gets 32 mpg, I think that will top both the 4 or 6 cylinder Camaro in acceleration and fuel economy.

The Mustang V8 does 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, I do think the Camaro V8 can beat that and hit 4.3  seconds.  An ATS-V does 0-60 in 4.2, I think the Camaro SS will be just a tick slower.

Acceleration times will be close, so the question is going to be how the Camaro and Mustang compare in handling, ride, braking, interior features, etc.   The Mustang finally has independent rear suspension, the Camaro has the alpha chassis and magneride.  I wouldn't buy either of these cars, but I am curious to read the comparison tests and see the comparison shootout videos because I do think they are close in a lot of ways.  Even the dimensions and shapes are similar, this might be the closest the 2 have been in 40 years.

Well we'll see. But we both kno that U aren't the most optimistic person here when it comes to GM. That being said.. the new Camaro, like the '16 ATS will be getting a different engine with several more ponies and the new 8speed which has proven to be a nice performance boost in its own right. Also the Camaro isn't a Ford.. its a Chevy.. and that makes a lot of difference. ATS-V is 3.9secs with proper driving.. the SS will most likely match it due to more torque, and lighter weight (SS is supposed to losing 300lbs) which if using today's Camaro weight of 3860lb.. would bring it in some where between 3500-3600... still lighter than the ATS-V by about 100lbs.

You can't base anything from these new cars on the 2015 ATS 6-Speed auto.  The two new 8-speeds seem to be some of the best on the market with incredibly fast shifts and a wider range of ratios.  My mpg focused highway run in the ATS-V 8-Speed Auto returned some incredible fuel economy numbers (65mph, fairly flat, driving normally with cruise control).

Yup. That's what I was saying. The 8speed yields some pretty decent improvements all around so far. I think we are going to see improved ATS and Camaro speeds with this tranny. The extra HP will help as well. We are talking a 335HP 3400-3500lb vehicle that gain nice HP from a few bolt-ons sure to come and a pocket tune. I won't even get into the potential of the 2.0L Turbo. Some at other sites are trying to act as tho the sky is falling based on the Iron Duke from 32 years ago... That engine put out 88hp.. this is not that engine.. and it has proven itself to be quite nice in performance in various heavier applications

Tesla's production hell seems to be only getting worse than better. Various issues at their Freemont plant has caused the automaker to push back their goal of producing 5,000 Model 3s from late last year to June of this year. This, in turn, has caused some holders of Model 3 reservations to have their order pushed back to 2019.
“As we work hard to meet demand, we wanted to let you know that your estimated delivery timing has been adjusted to a slightly later window,” Tesla said in an email to customers.
According to Bloomberg, the new date depends on when the reservation was placed and what model was chosen. Tesla is trying to get the more expensive long-range battery model out first before starting production of the cheaper standard battery model. This has buyers of the latter model worried as they might not get the full $7,500 tax credit. The credit begins to phase out once an automaker has built 200,000, something Tesla expects to hit sometime this year.
The move has caused some reservation holders to take to various forums and Twitter to complain. Others are deciding to jump ship and buy a Chevrolet Bolt. Reuters reports that Chevrolet dealers in California are seeing a noticeable increase of Tesla shoppers interested in the Bolt.
“We’re getting the Tesla people who wanted their Model 3. We ask them, ‘What other cars are you interested in?’ They’re mostly Tesla. But they want the car now. They don’t want to wait,” said Yev Kaplinskiy of Stewart Chevrolet.
Kaplinskiy said they sold 15 Bolts last weekend.
Chevrolet is taking advantage of the delay by emailing some prospective buyers this week with the message of, “Bolt EV: Now available.”

Whether or not you care for the BMW X4 'sport activity coupe', it is a big hit around the world. To keep its popularity up, the German automaker revealed the second-generation X4 this morning.
Like the X3 on which it is based, the 2019 X4 sees an increase in overall length (3 inches) and width (2 inches). Most important for those sitting in the back is the extra 2 inches between the wheels, which should help improve rear legroom. The front end is similar to the redesigned X3 with larger kidney grilles, larger air intakes, and a new design for the foglights. The back features a tailgate design similar to the Mercedes-Benz GLC and GLE-Coupes.
The interior is cleaned up with a new center stack design featuring a standard 10.25-inch touchscreen for BMW's iDrive system. Cargo space is still quite small with 19 cubic feet on offer behind the rear seats.
BMW will offer the X4 with two engines,
      xDrive30i: Turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder - 248 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.
      X4 M40i: Turbocharged 3.0L inline-six - 355 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque
Both engines will come paired with an eight-speed automatic and xDrive all-wheel drive.
There will be a long list of options including adaptive cruise control, heads-up display, blind spot monitoring, and forward collision warning.
The 2019 BMW X4 arrives at dealers in July with pricing of $50,450 for xDrive30, and $60,450 for M40i - doesn't include a destination charge.

Its predecessor – the first ever Sports Activity Coupe at the premium end of the mid-size segment– broke new ground. Today, the all-new BMW X4 is writing the next chapter in this story of success. More than 200,000 units of the first-generation X4 have been sold worldwide and 19,712 in the US alone since the original model was launched in 2014. The all-new BMW X4 underscores its individual character with significantly enhanced driving dynamics, standout exterior design accentuating the car’s sporting instincts, a refined premium ambience in the interior, state-of-the-art driver assistance systems and leading-edge connectivity technologies. Additionally, the dynamic and extravagant aura of the Sports Activity Coupe is highlighted by the BMW M Performance model: the all-new BMW X4 M40i.

The exterior design of the all-new BMW X4 features clean surfacing and high-class, modern accents. The BMW X4 assumes the role of eye-catching athlete in the BMW X model family. “The second-generation BMW X4 brings together a distinctive, dynamic silhouette with a clear, pared-back use of forms,” says Adrian van Hooydonk, Senior Vice President BMW Group Design.

      Dynamically stretched proportions, powerful styling.
An increase of approximately 3 inches in exterior length to 187.5 inches, 2.1 inches added to the wheelbase (now 112.7 inches), an extra 1.4 inches of width (75 inches) and an approximately 0.1 inch drop in height (to 63.8 inches) give to the all-new BMW X4’s dynamically stretched proportions. Short overhangs and powerfully formed, subtly hexagonal wheel arches emphasize the nearly perfectly balanced 50:50 distribution of weight between the front and rear axle.

In the center of the striking front end stands a large BMW kidney grille in a new three-dimensional look. Twin headlight units with dynamic contours and horizontal fog lamps integrated into the outer air intakes form a new interpretation of the familiar six-eyed face embraced by BMW X models.

All of the light functions feature LED technology as standard. The shoulder line – following the door handles to the rear lights – and the character line between the wheel arches break up the surfaces of the car’s flanks. This creates clearly defined lines which are additionally emphasized by the drawn-in glasshouse at the rear. The coupe style roofline slides into the rear window with an elegant flourish before dipping down more steeply to the rear. The window design also underline the dynamic proportions of the all-new BMW X4, thanks to a smoothly rising sill line and an elongated take on the Hofmeister kink “counter-swing” at the base of the C-pillars. Clearly structured surfaces and horizontal lines shape the car’s tail. The LED rear lights, with their three-dimensional shaping, are slim in design and positioned at the extreme edges of the rear. Combined with the twin exhaust tailpipes (shared by all engine variants), they magnify the width of the rear end.
Standard xLine and the M Performance model.
Two optional model variants allow drivers to tailor the appearance of the all-new BMW X4 to reflect their personal preference. Each variant comes with standalone design features as well as model-specific standard 19-inch light-alloy wheels. The robust nature of the Sports Activity Coupe is clearly expressed by the standard xLine design which combines bespoke front and rear underguard elements and side skirts in Glacier Silver metallic with side window surrounds and styling accents in a satin Aluminum finish. The M Performance model has an undeniably dynamic look, clearly stating its eagerness to deliver intense sportiness on the open road with its aerodynamically optimized front/rear aprons and side skirts, and accents in High-gloss Black. The all-new BMW X4 M40i can now also be specified with options from the BMW Individual portfolio. Extras designed to give the exterior an exceptionally exclusive feel include the BMW Individual paint finish Sunstone metallic.

Interior and equipment. Sporting character with a modern, premium feel.
The interior cabin of the all-new BMW X4 is roomier with a premium feel. All controls are clearly arranged and set within trim finishers featuring a distinctly pared-down design. The low instrument panel and the slightly raised seating position typical of BMW X models afford drivers a superb view of the road ahead. The driver-focused layout of the cockpit helps to create a wonderfully sporty driving experience at all times. Redesigned sports seats with boldly contoured side bolsters provide outstanding lateral support even in extreme handling situations. Top-class materials, precise build quality and a host of meticulously crafted details set the tone for the modern and individual premium character of the all-new BMW X4. The surfaces of the instrument panel and door paneling merge smoothly into one another, while the X logos embossed into the electroplated surfaces of the front and rear doors are eye-catching details. The ambient lighting, adding extra light sources around the center console and instrument panel, in the door paneling and in the foot wells, enhances the sense of wellbeing in the interior of the all-new BMW X4. The lighting mood can be adjusted as the driver pleases thanks to a choice of six colors. Large storage trays, roomy door pockets, cup holders and various compartments are all testimony to the functional qualities of the all-new BMW X4.

Effective differentiation in the interior, too.
The BMW X4 xDrive30i comes standard with xLine and exclusive design features are available for the BMW X4 M40i M Performance model. Standard sports seats and interior trim strips in Dark Oak Wood with accent strips in Pearl-effect Chrome give the cabin of the BMW X4 xDrive30i an air of elegance. The audio and air conditioning control panels sport a Pearl-effect Chrome surround and Highgloss Black highlights. The BMW X4 M40i also comes with M specific sports seats, a sport leather steering wheel and the standard anthracite-colored BMW Individual headliner, complemented by interior trim strips in Aluminum Rhombicle with accent strips in Pearl-effect Chrome. Standard on the BMW X4 xDrive30i model is a Sensatec instrument panel and door shoulder. There is also the option of the new Vernasca leather upholstery, which is exclusively available for the all-new BMW X4 in the color Tacora Red, as well as in Black with a choice of blue or red contrast stitching for both the 30i with M Sport package and the M40i. Additionally, the BMW X4 M40i can be specified with options from the BMW Individual portfolio. Options include BMW Individual extended Merino leather upholstery (in the color combinations Ivory White/Black, Fiona Red/Black and Tartufo/Black),

      Comfort and functionality.
A far wider array of options, offers greater scope for customers to increase both the comfort and functionality of the all-new BMW X4. The range includes electrically adjustable and heated seats, active seat ventilation and three-zone automatic climate control with separately adjustable temperature control in the rear. A standard panoramic glass moon roof with much larger dimensions than the predecessor offers passengers additional comfort. The two-section glass surface with an overall length of 36.4 inches and a width of 35 inches allows the amount of light in the interior and the supply of fresh air to be varied as required and creates space. The sun blind is electrically operated, as is the front section of the glass roof.

Three full-size seats are fitted in the rear compartment of the all-new BMW X4, providing the passengers there with an additional 1 inch of legroom over the predecessor model. The trunk features a capacity of 18.5 ft³ and the load space can be expanded to a maximum of 50.5 ft³ as required by folding down the sections of the rear backrest, with its standard 40:20:40 split. For added ease, the backrest sections can be released remotely from the trunk, while their angle to be individually adjusted, too. The standard storage package adds additional compartments, USB ports and 12V sockets, as well as multifunctional hooks and lashing rails in the trunk.
      Powertrain and driving experience.
The all-new BMW X4 will be launched with a choice of latest-generation power units. The four-cylinder unit in the all-new BMW X4 xDrive30i generates 248 hp and peak torque of 258 lb-ft, which is on tap between 1,450 and 4,800 rpm. This enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6 seconds. The BMW TwinPower Turbo technology for the gasoline engines comprises a twin-scroll turbocharger, High Precision Injection, VALVETRONIC fully variable valve timing and Double-VANOS variable camshaft control.

The BMW M Performance model comes with an inline six-cylinder engine. Both model variants direct their engine’s power to the road via an eight-speed Steptronic transmission and BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel drive as standard, resulting in effortless progress over smooth roads and rough terrain alike. Gear selections can be selected manually using the shift paddles on the steering wheel. The standard eight-speed Sport transmission offers exceptionally fast gear changes as well as a Launch Control function. The standard-fit Driving Experience Control switch lets drivers choose from SPORT, COMFORT and ECO PRO set-ups, while the BMW X4 M40i, and BMW X4 xDrive30i models also add a SPORT+ mode.

The engines under the hood of BMW M Performance Automobiles stand out with their instantaneous response and tireless power delivery. With its trademark free-revving performance, maximum output of 355 hp and peak torque of 365 lb-ft, the power unit in the all-new BMW X4 M40i enables it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds.

      Reduced weight, enhanced aerodynamic properties.
An intelligent material mix has made it possible to bring about a substantial weight saving, not just in the chassis design but also in the body’s construction. BMW EfficientLightweight measures led to the increase in the proportion of aluminum as well as high-strength and ultra-high-strength grades of steel. This has made the body structure more solid than ever, serving up benefits for both vehicle agility and occupant protection. Additionally, the car has a significantly lower center of gravity which enhances the Sports Activity Coupe’s cornering dynamics.

Another factor in the dynamism and efficiency of the all-new BMW X4 is a reduction in aerodynamic drag of around 10 percent. This advance has been achieved by streamlining the body at the same time as incorporating a raft of additional measures, including active air flap control, the Air Curtains in the front apron and additional underbody cladding. The all-new BMW X4 sets a new benchmark in its segment with a drag coefficient (Cd) of 0.30.

BMW xDrive: precise distribution of power with optimized efficiency.
The latest version of the system is lighter and more efficient. Plus, the wonderfully precise electronic control of the intelligent all-wheel drive also splits drive power to the sporting effect for which the brand is renowned; the rear-biased set-up produces a highly rewarding driving experience, especially when powering through corners. Besides offering BMW handling stability, BMW xDrive also enhances traction over loose terrain, providing the all-new BMW X4 with tremendous off-road capabilities. With a ground clearance of 8 inches a fording depth of 19.6 inches, break over angle of 19.4° and angles of approach and departure of 25.7° and 22.6° respectively, the Sports Activity Coupe takes everything in its stride, from crests and bumps in the road to gravel tracks, icy roads and steep slopes.

First-class chassis technology with bespoke set-up.
The all-new BMW X4 boasts a marked increase in agility combined with a high degree of ride comfort, courtesy of chassis technology that has been systematically refined and honed for the specific requirements of the Sports Activity Coupe. The design principle of a double-joint spring strut axle at the front and five-link rear axle forms the ideal basis for a harmonious blend of dynamism and comfort. Fitting aluminum swivel bearings, lightweight tubular anti roll bars and new wheel location components at the front axle has brought about a considerable reduction in unsprung masses. Standard specification for the all-new BMW X4 xDrive30i includes not only M Sport suspension but also variable sport steering. Specially tuned to deliver extra-dynamic handling qualities, this version of the Electric Power Steering system ensures slick precision through keenly taken corners and straight-line stability. The speed-sensitive Servotronic power assistance, meanwhile, makes light work of maneuvering.

The car’s impressively sporty and well footed handling characteristics are enhanced by the powerful lightweight braking system and the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) system, whose wealth of features includes the Antilock Braking System (ABS), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Automatic Differential Brake (ADB-X), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), Start-Off Assistant and Hill Descent Control (HDC). The Performance Control function also included as standard gives the all-new BMW X4 even sharper handling by varying the distribution of drive torque to the rear wheels according to the situation at hand. 19-inch light-alloy wheels also form part of standard specification, while wheel options offered include 19 inch, 20 inch and 21 inch wheel offerings.

      The BMW M Performance model.
Featuring model specific design and equipment features, the inline six cylinder engine is supported by chassis technology that has been precisely tuned to handle the high drive power. In the US, the BMW X4 M40i variant comes standard with M Sport brakes, which allow drivers to enjoy exceptionally dynamic handling with phenomenal stopping power. The system includes extra-large brake discs and blue painted calipers. Also standard is the Adaptive M Suspension featuring electronically controlled dampers whose responses adjust to the nature of the road and driving style. Drivers can choose between a sportier or more comfortable basic setting by activating the relevant performance maps using the Driving Experience Control switch.

The standard M sports exhaust system produces unmistakable sound while the M Sport differential serves up wonderfully dynamic cornering. The flap-controlled M sports exhaust system on the BMW M Performance models doesn’t just make a great impression acoustically, though – its trapezoidal tailpipes in black chrome form a stunning visual highlight. Power is relayed to the wheels via an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission including Launch Control function as standard. The sporty nature of the BMW M Performance model is enhanced by the rear biased set-up of the BMW xDrive all-wheel drive and the Performance Control function. The standard M Sport differential generates a precise locking effect at the rear wheels, priming the car perfectly to power out of corners with dynamic drive.

The BMW X4 M40i comes equipped as standard with M Sport brakes and 19-inch light-alloy wheels; variable sport steering and M Sport suspension with firmer spring and damper tuning. The M Sport brakes are specially designed with an extra-large master cylinder to help optimize braking feel. Customers can also opt for the Adaptive M suspension, which is exclusively available for the two BMW M Performance models and further broadens the range of adjustment between sporty handling and well-balanced ride comfort. Two 19-inch wheels with either performance run-flat tires or all-season run-flat tires are available. Sporting a Double-spoke M twinspoke design in bi-color Orbit Grey polished finish, they add a striking visual touch. The options list also includes two 20-inch light-alloy wheels, and one 21-inch M Double-spoke Cerium Gray wheel.

Aerodynamically refined exterior with M appeal.
Aerodynamically optimized body elements combined with model-specific exterior design features add to the sporty and exclusive looks of the BMW M Performance. The Cerium Grey finish for the exterior mirror caps and front air intake trim inserts is just one example. A Sensatec covering for the instrument panel and door shoulders, sports seats, model badging for the door sill strips, instrument panel and instrument display, plus additional details such as the sport leather steering wheel, M pedals and M driver’s footrest, all help to inject the cabin with unmistakable M flair.

Controls and driver assistance systems. Innovations for comfortable, safe driving.
The latest version of the iDrive operating system fitted in the all-new BMW X4 is designed to offer even more flexible and ergonomic control of vehicle, navigation, communication and infotainment functions. Its Control Display now takes the form of a freestanding monitor with a screen diagonal of 10.25-inch as standard. The high-resolution display that comes with the standard Navigation system Professional includes touchscreen functionality. The intuitive touch control also offers a tile-style menu layout with live content. The voice control system is the latest from BMW and can follow freely formulated instructions to find a point of interest such as, “Find a coffee shop near the Empire State Building” or simply, “I’m hungry”. There is also the option of using BMW gesture control in the all-new BMW X4, allowing certain functions to be operated with simple movements of the hand or fingers, which are registered by a 3D sensor in the center console and translated into the relevant commands. Another option is the new-generation BMW Head-Up Display, whose projection area has been expanded by 75 percent. This system reflects driving-related information onto the windscreen in full color and with a resolution of 400 x 800 pixels, so that it appears directly in the driver’s field of vision. The optionally available Dynamic Digital Instrument Cluster, meanwhile, visualizes the driving-related cockpit information in a style that reflects the selected driving mode.

Cutting-edge assistance systems enhance comfort and safety.
When it comes to driver assistance and semi-automated driving, all the systems currently offered by BMW are available, such as the latest generation of Active Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop & Go, whose capabilities include braking the car to a halt in stop-and-go traffic and automatically restarting to drive. The Driving Assistance Package includes Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Daytime Pedestrian Protection, Frontal Collision Warning with City Collison Mitigation, Cross Traffic Alert rear, and Speed Limit Information. The Driving Assistant Plus Package builds upon that with: Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Active Lane Keeping Assistant with Side Collision Avoidance, Traffic Jam Assistant, Evasion Aid & Cross Traffic alert front and rear

Parking with ease: ParkNow and On-Street Parking Information.
The ParkNow service, available in iDrive, allows parking spaces at the roadside and in parking garages to be easily located, booked and paid for without the need for cash. This cash-less, ticket-less, and hassle-free service can greatly shorten the time taken to find and pay for parking. In-car integration of ParkNow is initially available in select cities nationwide. Visit www.park-now.com for details.

First launched with the BMW 5 Series, the new On-Street Parking Information (OSPI) service now available in 20 cities helps alleviate the problem of vehicles searching for available on-street parking spaces – which accounts for a large part of traffic congestion in city centers. OSPI works in a similar way to the Advanced Real Time Traffic Information System, using historical and current data as well as complex algorithms to draw conclusions regarding the potential availability of on-street parking spaces in specific zones or in a particular part of the city. The probability of on street parking availability is shown on the Navigation map as colored indicators along the street, allowing the driver to minimize the need to circle the block in search of a spot by targeting streets with a higher probability of available parking spaces.

The options list likewise includes a WiFi hotspot offering a high-speed internet connection (LTE) for up to ten mobile devices. Apple CarPlay Compatibility is included with a one-year trial. The industry’s first implementation of a wireless Apple CarPlay solution is now augmented with a flexible way for customers to continue the feature after their trial period. After the inclusive one-year trial, customers can elect to buy the feature from the ConnectedDrive Store within the My BMW ConnectedDrive portal or right from the driver’s seat from within the iDrive menu system of the vehicle.

This system also comprises the Top View, Panorama View and 3D View functions, which combine to depict a 360º image of the vehicle and the surrounding area on the Control Display. The Remote 3D View function additionally gives drivers the ability to call up a three-dimensional live image of their vehicle and its immediate vicinity on their smartphone via BMW Connected.

Linked up to the driver’s digital world thanks to BMW Connected.
The digital services from the BMW Connected app, available on both iOS and Android, bring intelligent connectivity to the all-new BMW X4 and unparalleled convenience for the driver. With the help of the Open Mobility Cloud platform, the digital services connect to the BMW X4 via devices such as smartphones or smartwatches, resulting in seamless connectivity.

The selection of devices that can connect to the new BMW X4 by means of BMW Connected go beyond the smartphone by supporting devices such the Apple Watch, Amazon Echo, and Google Assistant. Customers can speak to the Amazon Echo or Google Assistant to check the fuel level, lock the vehicle or activate the ventilation function, all from the comfort of their home.

With BMW Connected, being on-time has never been simpler. Machine learning made possible by the Open Mobility Cloud allows BMW Connected to learn your routines and suggest the optimal time to leave for an appointment. Location based services and real time traffic information help optimize your journey even before entering the vehicle. Once on your route, the Advanced Real-Time Traffic Information can continue to optimize your journey. Crowd-sourced vehicle to vehicle communication is now employed within the inter-connected BMW fleet to provide advance warning of hazardous traffic situations. Information on detected hazards presented by an accident, a broken-down vehicle, dense fog, heavy rain or black ice, for example, is relayed to the BMW backend from where it is sent into the navigation system of both the driver’s car and other BMWs in the vicinity.

Connectivity enhances safety, comfort and infotainment.
The standard built-in SIM card also allows drivers of the all-new BMW X4 to use Intelligent Emergency Call with automatic locating and accident severity detection. With the new BMW Teleservice Accident Assistance, the vehicle now detects low-speed collisions below the threshold for airbag deployment. The driver receives a message in the iDrive display offering to contact the BMW Accident Assistance service directly. A push of a button is all it takes to obtain professional support from the BMW Accident Assistance team, who can also put the customer in touch with a BMW Service Partner if necessary.

Last month's Detroit Auto Show saw Mercedes-Benz unveil the all-new 2019 G-Class. A number of folks were excited as this was the first full-redesign since the model was introduced back in 1979. But there were a number of people wondering if and when an AMG version would arrive. The G-Class is unique in Mercedes-Benz's lineup as half of the models sold are the AMG variant. Good news, Mercedes has revealed the 2019 G63 that will be debuting next month at the Geneva Motor Show.
Under the G63's hood is a variant of the 4.0L BiTurbo V8 that is found in a number of Mercedes and AMG models. In this guise, the V8 produces 577 horsepower and 621 pound-feet of torque (available between 2,500 and 3,500 rpm). This is paired with a nine-speed automatic and a 40/60 split four-wheel drive system with three locking differentials. 0-60 mph takes 4.4 seconds (about a second faster than the current G63) and top speed stands at 137 mph. Opt for the Driver's package and top speed rises to 149 mph.
The suspension has been given the once-over by AMG with new adaptive dampers and coil springs on all wheels. The steering system features a variable ratio and speed-sensitive rack.
Outside, the G63 comes with AMG's Panamericana grille design, wider fenders, red brake calipers, and optional 22-inch wheels. A flat-bottom steering wheel and Nappa leather upholstery are key changes for the interior.
Mercedes-Benz is keeping quiet on the price, but we're expecting to be above the $150,000 mark. The 2019 G63 arrives in the U.S. at the end of this year.

      The new 2019 Mercedes-AMG G63
New appearance of the high-performance G-Class Feb 13, 2018 – Affalterbach: The new 2019 Mercedes-AMG G63 has undergone the greatest change in its history - while remaining true to its well-proven virtues. The G63 underpins its unique position among performance off-road vehicles with a powerful drive system, an AMG-developed suspension, AMG-specific transmission modes and a new interior with optimal widescreen cockpit. The basis for the hallmark AMG Driving Performance both on and off road is provided by the 577 hp handcrafted AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine, rear- biased all-wheel drive (40:60) with three differential locks, extremely fast- shifting 9-speed automatic transmission, double wishbone independent front suspension and adaptive adjustable damping. The reinterpretation of the unmistakable design creates strong highlights with the AMG-specific radiator grille, flared wheel arches, striking side pipes on the exhaust system and wheels up to 22-inches in diameter.
"The new AMG G63 brings driving performance to the segment of unadulterated off-road vehicles in unexpected form. It was important for us to tie in with the original character on account of the cult status the G63 enjoys with our customers and fans. The vehicle has nevertheless reached a completely new dimension in terms of technology with the handcrafted AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine as well as in combination with the off-road characteristics, the agility and the vehicle dynamics achieved," explains Tobias Moers, CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH. "This applies to the entire G-Class model series. Mercedes-AMG is responsible for their suspension and chassis development as well as V8 competence."
Proven to be powerful: the handcrafted AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine
The handcrafted AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine now also replaces the previous 5.5-liter V8 biturbo engine in the G63. It generates 577 hp in this model, and delivers a maximum torque of 627 lb-ft. This is available across a wide rev range between 2,500 and 3,500 rpm, and provides a sense of effortless superiority. The G63 completes a sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds (est.), 0.9 seconds faster than the previous model. This dynamic performance is maintained up to the limited maximum speed of 137 mph, or 149 mph with the AMG Driver's package.
The two turbochargers are not positioned on the outside of the cylinder banks, but inside the cylinder "V." Advantages: a compact engine design, spontaneous response of the turbochargers and low exhaust emissions thanks to optimal airflow to the near-engine catalysts. The eight-cylinder delivers its power with muscular torque in all engine speed ranges, combined with maximum efficiency for low fuel consumption and emission figures.
Two twin scroll turbochargers are used for optimal response. The housing is divided into two parallel flow channels. Combined with two separate exhaust ducts in the exhaust manifold, this makes it possible to control the exhaust gases on the turbine wheel separately. The exhaust gas from the first and fourth cylinders of the cylinder bank is fed into one duct, that from the second and third cylinders to the other duct. The aim is to prevent the individual cylinders from having mutually adverse effects on the gas cycle. This reduces the exhaust gas back pressure and improves gas exchange. The results are increased output by virtue of improved cylinder charging with fresh mixture, more torque at low revs and very fast response times.
Other engine features include modified pistons, optimized intercooling and extensive software upgrades. Spray-guided direct gasoline injection with piezo injectors, an all-aluminum crankcase, four-valve per cylinder design with camshaft adjustment, air-water intercooling, alternator management, ECO start/stop function and gliding mode have all been retained.
AMG Cylinder Management cylinder deactivation system
For more efficiency, Mercedes-AMG has equipped the V8 engine in the G63 with the AMG Cylinder Management cylinder deactivation system. In the partial-load range, cylinders two, three, five and eight are deactivated, which significantly lowers the fuel consumption.
When the driver has selected the "Comfort" transmission driving mode, the cylinder deactivation system is available in the wide engine speed range from 1,000 to 3,250 rpm. The AMG main menu on the instrument cluster informs the driver whether the cylinder deactivation system is in use and whether the engine is presently operating in the partial or full-load range. The transition from four to eight-cylinder operation is fast and imperceptible, so that the passengers do not experience any loss of comfort whatsoever.
AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission with shorter shift times
The AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission is used in the G63. This has a model-specific software application to achieve very short shift times. The multiple downshift function allows more spontaneous bursts of speed, while the double-declutching function in "Sport" and "Sport Plus" transmission modes makes for an even more emotional driving experience. Defined engine manipulation makes for even faster gear changes.
The wide ratio spread allows a choice of a very sporty or a very comfortable and efficient driving experience. In all transmission modes the G63 moves off in first gear so as to ensure a dynamic sprint from a standstill whenever required. The DIRECT SELECT lever has been repositioned as a steering column stalk.
"Manual" mode can be selected using a separate switch. The gear changes are based on the selected transmission mode, and the driver can now change gear using the paddles on the steering wheel. Moreover, the transmission stays in the selected gear and does not automatically shift up when the engine speed reaches the limit.
Enhanced agility and traction: AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive
The standard-specification AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive features rear-biased torque distribution with a front/rear split of 40 to 60 percent. This configuration ensures greater agility on the road and improved traction during acceleration. In the preceding model the distribution was a neutral 50:50.
The off-road reduction gear has been developed further for operation on difficult terrain and helps to ensure that the G63 is able to master even more demanding off-road stretches. The reduction ratio of the transfer case is now 2.93 : 1, considerably higher than in the preceding model (2.1 : 1). This assists moving off on extreme uphill gradients in particular, as the torque at the drive wheels is significantly increased.
The off-road reduction gear can be engaged via the LOW RANGE switch at speeds of up to 25 mph. The gear ratio of the transfer case is then changed from 1.00 in HIGH RANGE to 2.93. It is possible to switch from LOW RANGE to HIGH RANGE at speeds of up to 44 mph.
The new, intelligent multiplate clutch behaves like an automatically controlled locking differential. It ensures that the new G63 remains maneuverable for longer when off-road. The advantage is that the driver has more scope before having to engage the differential locks manually.
When the driver operates the switch for the center differential lock, the multiplate clutch switches to a 100% locking effect. The locks at the front and rear axle differentials are differential locks with a dog clutch and a 100% locking effect. All the locks can be engaged individually while on the move in LOW RANGE: firstly center, then rear axle and finally front axle differential.
The differential locks now respond to the switches even more rapidly, as they are electromechanically actuated and fully networked. An LED and the central driver's display indicate which lock is currently active.
With adaptive adjustable damping: AMG-developed suspension
The new G63 performs even better when off-road, and on the road it is more dynamic and comfortable than its predecessor. The agile driving impression is substantially due to the suspension system, which has been completely redesigned by Mercedes-AMG and features coil springs all-round. For the first time the front axle has an independent, double wishbone suspension; a rigid axle with a five-link suspension is used at the rear.
The components of the double-wishbone front suspension are directly mounted to the ladder-type frame without a subframe. The attachment points of the lower wishbone are positioned as far up as possible. This arrangement ensures good drivability both on and off the road. A strut tower brace, known as a suspension bridge, now connects the front strut towers, which increases the torsional rigidity of the ladder-type frame.
At the rear, the new axle is guided with four longitudinal control arms on each side and a Panhard rod. This makes normal driving on the road even more comfortable. When off-road, the rear spring compression of 3.2 inches and rebound of 5.6 inches plus the ground clearance of 9.5 inches to the rear axle gear help to ensure a safe ride even in extreme situations. To reduce body roll, the G63 has additional transverse stabilizers at the front and rear axles.
The AMG suspension with adaptive adjustable damping is standard equipment. This fully automatic, electronically controlled system adjusts the damping at each wheel to the current requirements. This improves driving safety and ride comfort. The damping is adjusted individually for each wheel, and depends on the driving style, the road surface and the selected suspension setting. The ideal operating point can be selected at all times on the basis of extensive information relating to acceleration or vehicle speed, for example.
Via a switch on the center console, the driver can choose between three different sets of damping characteristics, namely "Comfort," "Sport" and "Sport+," and thus individually influence the driving experience from very comfortable to taut and sporty.
Direct and with clear feedback: the AMG speed-sensitive steering
The electromechanical speed-sensitive steering installed in the G63 for the first time has a variable ratio to ensure precise and authentic feedback. The steering servo assistance is reduced at high speeds and continuously increases at low speeds. This means that comparatively little steering force is required at low speeds and that the best possible control over the vehicle is maintained at high speeds. Steering power assistance is available in a choice of two modes - "Comfort" or "Sport." The relevant characteristics are automatically activated depending on the selected AMG DYNAMIC SELECT driving mode, or can be personalized in "Individual" mode. In "Sport" the driver receives more direct feedback about the driving status.
Characteristics at the touch of a finger: AMG DYNAMIC SELECT
For the first time in the history of the Mercedes-AMG G-Class, the driving characteristics can be individualized at the touch of a finger with five on-road and three off-road driving modes.
With the five AMG DYNAMIC SELECT on-road modes "Slippery," "Comfort," "Sport," "Sport+" and "Individual," the characteristics range from efficient and comfortable to very sporty. Key parameters such as the response of the engine, transmission, suspension and steering are modified in the process. Independently of the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programs, the driver has the option of pressing the "M" button to switch directly to manual mode, in which gearshifts are executed exclusively using the shift paddles on the steering wheel. If required, the stages of the adaptive adjustable suspension can be selected as well.
Three off-road modes - "Sand," "Trail," and "Rock" - are available when driving off the beaten track. These are accessed using the switch in the center console for activation of the central differential lock, and can then be selected with the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT rocker switch. "Trail" allows maximum performance on soft, muddy or slippery surfaces. "Sand" modifies the parameters for sporty dynamics and the best possible grip and steerability on sandy stretches or desert sand dunes. "Rock" is the mode for extremely demanding, rocky terrain with severe axle articulation and frequent lifting of one or more wheels.
All the driving modes, both On Road and Off Road, are visualized in the instrument cluster and in the central media display. Deselection of all the locks returns the setting to the on-road driving modes.
Bodyshell: made for the toughest jobs
The basis for the enormous off-road capabilities of the G63 is provided by a torsionally rigid ladder-type frame of high-strength steel and a mounted body of composite construction. This design is considerably more robust and suitable for off-road operations than a unibody construction. As the lowest point of this construction, the frame ensures a low center of gravity and protects the major assemblies, fuel tank and exhaust system during ground contact when driving over obstacles.
Another development aim was to reduce the weight of the body. Using a digital prototype, the developers simulated the operating life of individual components and assemblies to determine where lighter materials could be used without compromising durability, operating life and quality.
The result is a new material mix: the bodyshell consists of various grades of steel. The fenders, hood and doors are made of aluminum. To be able to retain the door hinges and handles typical of the G-Class, the developers modified these to suit the new aluminum design. The A and B-pillars are made of high- strength steel in view of their load-bearing function.
Thanks to this intelligent design, it was possible to increase the torsional rigidity of the frame, body shell and body mounts by around 55 percent, from 6537 to 10,162 Nm/deg. This provides the ideal basis for maximum handling precision. Comfort has also benefited: vibrations and noise in the interior have been considerably reduced.
The roof is no longer spot-welded, but instead connected to the body structure by laser welding - resulting in better surface quality and higher body strength. The flange width was retained, but optimized for the new welding method. For the first time, all the fixed windows are adhesive bonded to the body. This not only increases the torsional rigidity of the body, but also makes the window frames more resistant to corrosion.
Off-road capability was the main focus during further development of the doors. The side and rear doors have a protective foil cladding on the inside, so that no water can enter when fording watercourses. The surfaces of the frame, vehicle floor and body are specially treated to withstand even the most severe influences – whether water, snow, salt or sand.
Sporty and distinctive: the exterior design
Unmistakable design features give the new AMG G63 its unique appearance: the boxy silhouette, the proud hood, external door hinges, round headlamps, mounted direction indicators, robust door handles, muscular protective strips with inserts in high-gloss black with a silver AMG emblem, the exposed spare wheel on the rear door with a stainless steel cover and three-dimensional Mercedes star.
The front section of the G63 is characterized by the AMG-specific radiator grille and the AMG bumper with large side air inlets and trim in matt iridium silver. The headlamps, indicators and tail lights are in LED High Performance technology as standard. This lighting consumes less energy and has a particularly long service life.
MULTIBEAM LED headlamps are optionally available. These each use 84 individually controlled high-performance LED modules to illuminate the road surface automatically with an extremely bright and precisely directed beam of light, without dazzling other road users. That is because this individual control allows the light distribution of the left and right headlamps to be adapted separately, quickly and dynamically to suit the changing situation on the road. This improves safety for all road users.
With the enhanced fog light function, the MULTIBEAM LED technology also allows the headlamp on the driver's side to illuminate that side more actively, while masking any rise in the light beam. As a result, the outer half of the road surface is more brightly illuminated and back-glare from the light reflected from the fog is reduced.
New light functions for enhanced safety
Adaptive Highbeam Assist Plus also benefits from the performance of MULTIBEAM LED technology: thanks to a larger number of pixels, the dark areas in the light distribution are more precise and dynamic than ever before in partial main-beam mode, and the main beam can be used for longer than before. Once switched on, the system always makes the best possible headlamp range available.
Mercedes-AMG G63 with further distinctive features
Exclusive exterior characteristics of the G63 include the flared front and rear wheel arches, which create space for the larger, wider wheels, running boards as standard, distinctive trim elements on the front and rear bumpers and metallic paintwork as standard. Other distinguishing features include the "V8 BITURBO" lettering on the front fenders and the Mercedes-AMG G63 model badge on the rear door. Red brake calipers, perforated brake discs and available 22-inch wheels round off the exterior design.
The G63 looks particularly striking with the optional AMG Night package. In this case the headlamps, tail lights, indicator lenses, rear window and rear side windows are dark-tinted. The Obsidian Black paint finish on the exterior mirror housings, the spare wheel ring and the trim in the front and rear bumpers, together with the black-painted underride guard, emphasizes the confident appearance which is rounded off by matte-black 21 or 22-inch wheels.
Sporty look with model-specific details: the interior design
The new G63 has been given a completely newly designed, modern interior that echoes specific exterior features. The shape of the round headlamps is reflected in the side air vents, and in the shape of the indicators in the tweeters on the dashboard. The driver is able to choose from three different views – "Classic," "Sporty" and "Progressive" – and access the required information individually.
