I thought it was today.  The second Sunday in June, just like Mother's Day is the second Sunday in May.  Sorry.

Think I need better wood for our fire pit……didn’t want to light at all tonight…..

I use Kingsford quick light starters (looks like shredded wheat) and lighter fluid to get mine going.  Or those bagged logs like for a fireplace.

I am lsitening to as many different things as possible lately. Both you and david keep me sane.

A lot of K pop is good, but sometimes I feel like punching someone in the face after listening to a bunch of it....don't know if everyone ahs that side effect.

I have tons of scrap wood and smaller offcuts, bring a trailer. Enough dried hardwood to keep you in fires for a month...or more.

May be a cartoon of one or more people and text

My friend is in Arizona, I can see why Robert Hall moved back to Ohio.

May be an image of odometer and text that says '3:01 D 73 mph 119 mph 80 trip 331.9. 33 1.9.'

The pragmatic female introvert....

May be an image of text that says 'I'M GLAD I'VE GOT BOOBS... THE LAST THING I NEED IS PEOPLE MAKING EYE CONTACT REBEL CIRLUS WITH ME.'

Thought about Robert Hall and his dogs with this one also...

May be a cartoon

This looks like a Jetta or a Passat?

Anyway, there is always the debate between dry heat and humid heat.  I find humid heat more annoying than painful.

An acquaintance of mine who is a Southerner moved from Phoenix to Houston, heading toward "home," where he will probably eventually end up.  He said that, to better deal with heat, one has to keep their weight way down (he's short and lean) and wear little clothing and make sure it's cotton (t-shirts, shorts) and flip flops.

To me, 95 F (should it be that high) and humid is less painful than 115 F and dry.

Anything over 70 regardless of humidity is TERRIBLE! :P

I remember one year it hit 119 on my birthday.  And the A/C failed at the restaurant we were going out to dinner at.

Hot and dry and hot and humid are equally awful IMO, but different.  I’ve heard from friends about summers in Austin being nasty with triple digit temps and high humidity.

I was in Miami Beach in July 2008 and it was like 98F w/ 90 percent humidity.  Miserable outside.  Was better down in the Keys with the breezes.

My ideal would be a climate that never gets over 80F or below 50F.

Heat Pump is the Best thing in the World for the Ultimate comfort of a home. Unlike AC that dries out the interior and everything in the house, Heat pumps can be set to hold a specific humidity level or set to Auto to regulate it automatically. If memory serves me correct, commercial units are usually between 10 - 15%. Great benefit during winter when you have rain and have that bone ache, Heat Pumps keep the interior of the home very comfy so as to not feel it and during the rest of the year on high humidity days, the Heat Pump keeps the house cool and comfy. Far more comfortable than AC.

Food explanation here:

Carrier is one of many companies that sell both AC and Heat Pump systems for homes and commercial units.

Your ideal climate is found in the Bay Area and, to some extent, in the Pacific Northwest.

It can be depressing, but people in the PacNW mention how the cool, moist air makes them and their skin feel clean.  I don't know how that works.  Perhaps that it's comfortable.

That temperature band is probably the best one for people's well being.  For that matter, cars in the PacNW probably fare better than in any other place in the country ... the air for combustion and the cool, moist ambient for tires, belts, and hoses.

I was discussing this with a prof. I once had.  She said that, even though heat is miserable, extreme cold will finish off a person quite a bit sooner than extreme heat.  So, yes, 50F to 80F sounds just great.  If you can afford the places where it's the calling card.
