I love the new Supra, probably one fo the few that do. I do think it is a bit over rated...nice but not amazing.

All it is missing is a set of Ohio plates and it would fit right in here.

I prefer Patina or Original trucks myself. IIRC...I posted a 65 C20 in the Random thought thread...I like that look.

Love the (could it be candy apple?) red paint job on that pick-up.

I could tolerate the cream bumpers and grille and the cream coloured wheels.  I HATE the style of wheels though spoiling the whole look of the pick-up for me.  The wheels make it look too much of a toy for me.

About the all white '55:

LOVE the all white motif. I dont mind the white wheels. But again, the style chosen ruins it for me negating everything that I love about it.

Had the Chevy was wearin'  big white wall tires on 15 inch Cragar SS-es, I would have lusted over it.

I love these two SkyLines, probably just about the best version Japan has built. Current one is a Blah let down IMHO. R33 and R34 are the best looking.

Beautiful cars..I love the R32 also... the R34 looks great in M-Spec NUR GT-R trim in green-gold.    I also like the early 70s KPGC110 'Kenmeri' generation of Skyline GT-R.

I see the skyline has always been a generic turd of a design. '60s-70s Japan had no styling mojo at all.
It may perform OK, but it sure falls far short of the "beautiful" moniker.

Extremely similar / likewise bland, uninspired and generic Hillman Avenger / Plymouth Cricket :

Maybe you'll think Im crazy, but besides the wedge shape and the Countach being lower to the ground, the Countach, seems to me at least, to be taking some took cues from a Charger.   The side stylings and certain lines of the Lambo are more pronounced and more dramatic, but I could see a slight influence there.

I came to this conclusion  when I saw a video from a stupid (young...in his 20s) youtuber claiming to never see your idols in person. (He was referencing human idols such as a popstar of some sort or athlete to a car). In this case, he was disappointed with the Countach because as he stated, he was expecting to see a  car with lots of curves and all he saw was just a weird shaped with lots of straight lines and not one hint of a curve anywhere on the car.

Well...he is right about that. That the Lambo has no swoopy curves. Its all wedges. But you dont need to see that in person. You could see that from a photograph.

I started analyzing the design language of the Lambo when I realized how similar the lines are to the Charger.    Its only perception tho. I could be waaaay off.  (I dont think so...)

I’m gonna agree to disagree overall, tho I can see what you’re saying.

Original countach:
Pros :
• got the ‘hood’ and windshield  in one plane for the 1st time
• NACA scoop in the side is cool
Cons:
• everything else, starting with the schizophrenic wheelwell openings.

- - - - -
‘69 Charger is just about stylistically ideal. So much continuity & flow & aggression. Not a bad detail anywhere.
