See, but this is another example of how cool C&G is.

We have a very eclectic mix of religions, nationalities

ancestries & races. Our one common bond (well...

99% of the time) is our love of the Automobile, esp.

of the GM variety.

We are blind to the bull$h! & stereotypes that still

plague the real world at times but most times we are

free from the P.C. fanatics as well. This is a great place

to come hang out, read, laugh & enjoy the hobby.

So long as you recognize the superiority of RWD. J/K, mostly :P

I wonder why people pick german... are people proud of that heritage?

I mean, my father is 1/2 german 1/2 hispanic, and my mom is a eruo mutt... but i always say i'm german... because thats what i look like... heck people even ask me if i'm from europe...

but... anyone i know says they are german if they can find some roots back to germany somewhere in their family tree...

:scratchchin:

Technically, going by my last name (which I believe is German) I am of German heritage.

But, there is also a little French Canadian and Dutch in here somewhere too.

Myers Motor Corporation. (My Dream)

Paternal grandfather's side of the family came here in the 1840's from Germany. Maternal grandfather's side came over in the 1700's from England, I presume, last name, Adams, and we're descended directly from the presidents. Paternal grandfather's grandparents owned the largest brickyard in Lancaster, and the majority of the old rowhouses in the city are built with bricks bearing my last name. So, family fortunes rise and fall over the generations, for sure.
