I found out about the Impala competition too late to enter, but was still inspited to try my hand at a design inspired by Mitchell era Chevies.

I love the details on that thing. The proportions could use some work (School bus rear overhang!), but it's very cool.

sorry, i dont see it the way others do. It looks way too dated and id doubt it would sell, cars like this appeal to very few people (i.e people in this thread) not camcorder buyers.

I'm willing to bet that other than just enthusiasts, a lot of the 40+ crowd remember when big, gorgeous cars had a long rear end. Look at the proportions of any late '60s Ford, Chryser of GM vehicle.

Not every 40+ year old wants a BMW, I dare say. And a lot of us have money to spend. Give us a big, American car to drive and we'll buy it.

I think a lot of people that buy SUVs would gladly buy something in a car if it looks and rides nice.
