DETROIT -- Not quite a station wagon, not quite a SUV, the boxy Ford Flex appears to be headed on the way out.

Ford Motor plans to discontinue the Flex full-size crossover in 2020, Canadian union officials said early Tuesday.

Canadian auto workers union Unifor revealed the automaker's plans upon reaching a tentative labor contract with the company, averting a strike after last-minute negotiations.

Ford spokesperson Kerri Stoakley declined to confirm the discontinuation of the seven-passenger Flex, citing the company's policy of not discussing future product plans.

I miss ours. Way better than Expedition or Explorers that I have owned.

Flex :metal: was awesome. Not everyone's cup of tea, but a decent roomy ride.

RIP, you will be missed.
