I was thinking dollar for dollar buying it with my own money rather than as a gift.  We're I to spend eighty grand on a car...it would not be either.

Yeah, no. I would maybe, maybe take a CLA by the slimmest of margins, but the GLA is beyond despicable. I'd rather have a Yaris. Not even kidding.
