No rebuttal from me on that.

Toyota is a juggernaut. Has been since the 1980s world wide. I dont see any weaknesses in their armour.  Some say they are lagging in EV tech and relying too much on hybrids when the internal combustion engine is the enemy and going in on hydrogen when hydrogen is simply not the answer.

But I dont see it that way.  I see a very calculated approach to a "lets wait and see what happens" way of a business model.  Toyota has ALWAYS been a follower not a leader and they do THAT the best.  They got enough cash and enough engineering grit to pull off a retarded (time) engineering EV effort only to accelerate development later on.  

The hydrogen thing is beneficial in other ways.  Only they know what good could come out of such an endeavor.  Honda hasnt abandonned it either.  Co-developed with GM.  And GM has abandonned it either...
