It is a shame that no one till Tesla thought about pushing battery tech back then and it took 3 decades to get where we are going today.

It is a shame that no one till Tesla thought about pushing battery tech back then and it took 3 decades to get where we are going today.

I remember my shop teacher in High School in the 80's had an electric KIT CAR that he built himself with a base filled with traditional lead acid batteries. Was good to commute from his home a half mile away to school.

Watching this makes me think that the EV1 would have been a great start for rebuilding the Olds brand as an EV brand back then. Olds, a 21st century Olds Rocket EV would have had great marketing ability.

This also makes me think that GMC can build a hell of a great GMC Typhoon and Syclone for the future rides as EVs.
