  1. Shouldn’t they offer $3k to anyone? Rather than just Mustang owners which I assume are less than 1% of the total car buying population.
  2. Back from a week of PTO at https://www.fairmonthotsprings.com/ Love this place, so relaxing, made a day trip to Banf and Lake Louise in the Banf National Park. One day drive to Fairmont and an hour longer as we had a friend and took the Canadian trans highway back for another day drive. So 4 days of soaking and relaxing, Banf / Lake Louise on Monday due to weather, heavy snow the rest of the week. While the map says a bit over 1400 miles, total miles I drove showing our friend the area was close to 2000 for the week. Have to say the Escalade just purred along and is such a comfy road trip auto.
  3. Somehow I doubt this is going to help Camaro sales with the bunker windows and that ugly face only a mother could love, I honestly doubt they will get many sales.
  4. After low speed off-roading in a Gladiator with the Pentastar, I think the diesel will be the most appropriate choice for buyers who really want to take their Wrangler off road.
  5. Family trip to Florida, overall driving close to 2400 miles. I have to say Adaptive Cruise Control is awesome if the road is not too busy. Used it a lot.
  6. 16 Cylinders of Duramax Diesel Power!
  7. Last month, Porsche unveiled the Taycan Turbo and Turbo S, the two top trims of the Taycan, priced starting around $155,000. Now, Porsche is debuting the Taycan 4S, a new lower price model. The Taycan 4S comes with a single-layer performance battery with 79.2 kWh as standard, the two-layer performance battery plus from the Taycan Turbo is available as an option. Regardless of which battery is chosen, the Taycan can accelerate to 60 in as little as 3.8 seconds. As of yet, range estimates for the U.S. have not been published, but assume somewhere north of 250 miles on the performance plus battery. All-wheel drive is standard on the 4S, with a dual motor setup and a 2-speed transmission on the rear motor, the overall motor package is smaller and lighter than in the Turbo and Turbo S. The Taycan can charge at up to 800 volts at a high-speed DC charging station. That can bring the charge from 5% to 80% in as little as 22.5 minutes. Porsche has partnered with Amazon to have 240 volt home chargers installed at customer's homes for an additional charge. The Taycan 4S will start at $103,800 for the base model and $110,380 for the model with the performance plus battery. Ordering of the Taycan 4S is available immediately.
  8. it’s like GM has major blind spots when it comes to marketing the camaro.
  9. That didn’t take long, I wonder if a plain Jane Taycan for $90k is next.
  10. Small print: Must be a current owner or lessee of a Ford Mustang for at least 30 days prior to the new vehicle sale. Not available with lease and some other offers. Take new retail delivery by 10/31/19. See dealer for details.
  11. It's a type of locomotive called the Shay. There are other geared designs called Heisler, and Climax, both different in engine configuration. Shay - Inline 3 cylinder. Heisler - V2 Climax - Parallel 2-cylinder There is one railroad left that still operates all three types, the Cass Scenic in West Virginia. If you love the sound of steam like I do, put your headphones on for this one. This place is on my bucket list.
  12. Not sure what the issue is here. Sounds like typical Porsche marketing to me, regardless of whether its an EV or ICE Porsche.
  13. That explains the disjointed design.
  14. At 28 seconds, yes I would think it matters... but when we're down to comparing 10ths of a second, does it really matter? So car X can get to 60 in 6.5 seconds, does Car Y getting there in 6.3 seconds really sell more of Car Y?
  15. Caramel Apple Coffee Cake. Scratch-made.
  16. How was your week? I took this out for a spin.
