If only Nissan would sell a Rouge-sized version of the Leaf, it would outsell any Tesla on the marketplace. Too bad Nissan is not run very well these days.

A billion to develop/certify, for like 300 sales per year.

Doesn't this belong in the 'crossover coupe' thread????

It looks terrible, like a cobbled together test mule.

Too bad Tesla expects everyone to pay BMW 3 series pricing in order to get one. If EVs are to take over Europe, we need EVs that are the price of a VW Golf, not a Tesla model 3.

I like the look of it at least. That's about as nice as I can be about it. Maybe with a rotary generator it will be more impressive.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. Like the normal look of the CUV, those that want a fastback will have it in this 3 1/2 door version? Like the look of the cloth seats, dash from what can be seen is nice looking. Best part is it is distinct from the rest of the jelly bean designs. Failures is the small battery pack, fake engine noise and torque gradual approach. I honestly think this will doom this auto. The Torque makes me think they are affraid of motor failure with the instant torque. Why not have it after all their tag line has always been Zoom Zoom.

I still have no idea why Toyota and Nissan insist on competing in a segment where they get few if any real conquest sales. At least Ford and GM know where their bread is buttered.

Ford will be showing their Mustang inspired EV SUV on November 17th ahead of the LA Auto Show. We still don't have a name for the upcoming vehicle, but Ford has recently trademarked the name "Mach-E" and "Mustang Mach-E". Could this be a name for this new EV crossover? Time will tell. What you can see from the sketch is that it will have Mustang-like tail lights and headlights, plus a swept back, coupe-like roof line and a long hood. We do know an approximate range per charge of 370 miles on the WTLP cycle, which is slightly more optimistic than the EPA cycle. Ford also recently announced the creation of the FordPass Charging network, a way to take the worry out of range anxiety. We expect we'll hear even more about FordPass Charging Network at the November 17th presentation. View full article
