  1. Google provides the advertising here that helps pay the server and software bills. They don’t like their ads showing on pages containing certain content (guns, illegal drugs, naked people, and others). Their system can detect the content and if it finds something it doesn’t like it sends me an alert to remove their ads from that page. Since I’m unable to remove ads from specific pages, the content would have to go. This has happened here before. there was a long thread of girls on cars that really pushed the line but I allowed it until the Google monster tapped me on the shoulder then

  3. It's not the regenerative breaking (though that does help). It's that at cruise, cars use so little power that the Model-S runs along with mostly just the smaller front motor actively providing propulsion and the rear motor just getting enough of a trickle of power to not cause drag. The car will adjust torque to the rear as needed for acceleration or aggressive cornering, but most of the time that $100k Model-S is just a FWD Jellybean Taurus. The ones where I'm not exactly sure how it's working are the tri-motor Plaid and Plaid+ models. The Plaid has a reduction in range from the Long

  5. Well here is the latest from Jaguar Land Rover. Pretty much ICE is dead by the end of this decade for them. You can watch their video and read all the details, but this is the bullet list of what is happening: New global strategy – Reimagine – announced for the British company under the leadership of Chief Executive Officer, Thierry Bolloré A sustainability-rich reimagination of modern luxury, unique customer experiences, and positive societal impact Start of journey to become a net zero carbon business by 2039 Reimagination of Jaguar as an all-electric luxury br

  7. A '61 Plymouth would have been good for 'Christine'...the front looked like some angry insectoid alien, much more evil looking than the '58 IMO...

  8. I like it, but it's not pretty. It was a quick inversion; Plymouth was amazing / near perfect in '58, and was aesthetically near the bottom by '61. Ambassador was probably the bottom :

  13. Why are they still half-assing it? Don't they realize that It's Mercedes that MUST surpass Tesla, not the other way around.

  14. EQC, but that was kind of half baked I think anyway. EQS and EQE are made on a Tesla like chassis while EQA EQB and EQC are batteries put in an ICE platform. They have an EQE SUV in the works but these Mercedes Electric vehicles better be good and have 1,000 hp AMG versions, otherwise Tesla will surpass them like they just surpassed Audi last year (in the USA).

  18. Jaguar might as well go all electric because the sales of the gas powered cars stink. Also it would be a waste of money to further develop their gas engines or to spend hundreds of millions on another XF or XJ or whatever. Better to put 100% of their money into EV's and I suspect the gas power Land Rovers still on sale in 2029 will look a lot like the ones they have now, and will be ancient by then. Also investors want to see EV's. Investors are seeing gas cars as a negative. Also why Tesla is worth more than the 7 largest car companies combined. If you don't do EV's you can't sell st

  22. The Bolt would not qualify for the tax credit due to GM crossing the 200k sales threshold but the tax credit itself was not restricted to just leases. It was for all purchases of qualifying EVs. https://www.google.com/amp/s/electrek.co/2021/02/03/which-electric-vehicles-still-qualify-for-us-federal-tax-credit/amp/

  23. Bolt EV and EUV 65 KW/H battery Bolt EV 259 mile range starting at $31 995 Bolt EUV 250 mile range starting at $33 995 Launch Edition Bolt EUV that includes Supercruise is $43 000. But GM will offer Supercruise on other models but GM did NOT price the option... Biden admin will probably extend EV credits. $7500. GM could benefit by it. If the Biden admin does do that, then the Bolt EV will cost the consumer $24 995 and the EUV $26 495. One does NOT have to option the EUV with Supercruise... The Bolt EV and EUV only have a 65 KW/H battery with no o

  26. Seems redundant and not different enough from the regular Bolt. Longer wheelbase = more rear legroom, but it has the same, or LESS cargo space than the regular model, plus it still has that uneven load floor... and NO AWD. What is the point?

  27. Yes, Mr Negativity, they are renders. But presumably they are renders of future product...sounds like Alpha Motor Corporation (AMC--heh heh) has investors and a business plan to bring product to market...time will tell if they can realize that vision.

  30. You guys know its a parody, right? A satire if you will. Its sarcasm just as much as how CERTAIN snobbish EV owners act righteously (Prius owners as well) as how CERTAIN EV haters WANT to view EV adopters... I saw this vid a year ago. The guy does FANTASTIC parodies of politics whether left leaning or right leaning, vegetarians, health advocates, exercise freaks, free speech and cancel culture, and all walks of life, really. Tezzla is just HIS way of poking fun at pompous Tesla owners AND EV haterz at the same time... But when one has an agenda AGAINST EVs...that

  35. I would have loved had Plymouth still been kept around, that the Fury would be 1a) another platform mate to the Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 1b) a definite candidate for the Hellcat engine. Fury and Hell(cat) go very well together 2. Cop cars would return to be Plymouth Furys (I miss Plymouth Furys as cop cars. More so than I do Caprices and Crown Vics)

  36. Again, you make no sense with your statements. Yes, Cadillac CT5 and Mercedes E Class compete directly because they are both LUXURY makes and are nearly identical in size and that's a fact, that doesn't change, no matter what your opinion is and it makes them exactly that...COMPETITORS.
