The major problem is the basic impracticality of a 2 seater sportscar, but stray from that and you have the Camaro. So how do you take the Corvette formula to a younger crowd? Take a second look at the Kappa platform. Do some repackaging, even if the car grows slightly. Offer it with 3 maybe 4 engines ranging from a base 2.4 litre 4 (eAssist?), to the LNF 2 litre turbo 4, 3 litre V6, 3 litre twin turbo V6. Offer it in 3 body styles coupe, convertible, and shooting break. And stay away from retro styling. As much as I and old people love retro style the majority of the younger demographic want something slick and modern. Make sure that the Kappa car is a stepping stone to the faster Corvette (top of the line Kappa car may be faster than a base Corvette)

I can't imagine this was an accident, you have to try to pull up a picture of a Holden Cruze

Interesting you should mention preheating the car because Inside Line just posted about heating draining the battery but it appears they, or at least this certain writer, don't know how to preheat the cabin.

This needs some 2.0L diesel love and GMC could really have something there!
-
and GM now has a name for their upcoming line of fuel efficient diesel trucks
You laugh now, but wait until they have this engine EPA certified. Think of the implications for the next gen small truck
-
There are two versions of the 2.0L diesel and I'm hoping we get the smaller one with a 5 speed and 6 speed auto. I think more emphasis should be placed on fuel economy than power. Also I think GM would be wise to use the Eco model as the base, but be she to offer it in LTZ trim, which I do not believe the Eco is offered in. And I hope they call it the DuraEco lol

So the car is a celebrity to the general public. What kind of celebrity is it? Do you feel like people are just curious or is it like an American super hero?

Big ass coupes need to make a comeback, Mercedes and Rolls Royce are the only ones doing them at the moment and they're amazing. :smilies-38096:
Big ass convertibles that don't require legless passengers.
Four door convertibles because not everyone enjoys the undignified exit of a 2 door convertible.

I think this thread is full of win! lol

Ignore the price difference and compare coupe verse coupe. I'd be rocking the CTS coupe over even the Camaro SS coupe.

Too much money! I spend less than $20 even if I decide to splurge on the "nice ones" and the cheap ones do the job. Of course... I don't have to move snow or anything like that... just fend off the squirt guns of the bikini clad girls... in my mind...

Are you embarrassed to be seen in it? Is it even more of a chick car than ever?
