  1. He fails to see that the ATP does not mean $h!. The bulk of Benz sales are from their models like the A class, CLA, GLC, GLA, etc, which DO compete against the mainstream models out there. This isn't "opinion". This is "fact". It's why Mercedes started selling lower priced models 20 years ago (C230 anyone?). High line priced cars alone would not keep them in business and SMK knows that but that fanboy logic won't let him admit it. He fails, as well, to see the bigger point and that is the Tesla DOES compete in the luxury market as well as the mainstream, despite his BS claims to the contrary.
  2. @smk4565 You are just too predictable. Now, go ahead and deflect from this other comparison (from yet another Benz dealer) involving Teslas best seller and the EQB. But hey, there not going after the luxury market right? https://www.sbmercedes.com/eqb-vs-tesla-model-y.htm Tesla is Mercedes. They compete in the luxury and mainstream market, end of discussion and no amount of your bar moving and fanboy nonsense changes that.
  3. I'm just going to leave these right here for you to see how 100% full of $h! you are to say they don't compete in the luxury market. Courtesy of Two different Benz dealerships. Might want to tell them Tesla doesn't compete in the luxury market. The lesson here is stop repeating the same old BS you keep posting day in and day out. FFS.
  4. That hasn't been what you have said whenever their sale figures came up so just drop that current excuse because I am bot playing the bar moving game with you. Point being, everyone is pulling that in one fashion or another because new inventories are up everywhere, as it has been pointed out to you MULTIPLE TIMES here. Stop posting like you have completely forgotten those facts. And this is why I don't post much here anymore. The wash, rinse, repeat bull$h! you post while ignoring everything else that runs counter to your BS.
  5. Ho many times do people have to tell you why Hyundais numbers are the way they are right now? You've been told repeatedly here so I'm not going over that with you because clearly you just ignore $h! when it's convenient to you. Having said that... What's your favorite brands excuse for the $7500 bonus offer on select leased EQs? Maybe you should just sit this one out for once SMK.
  6. Good lord Olds. You are not this ignorant. I have shown countless other articles in the past showing that they get those kind of miles. Again, facts abound if you care to actually look without the obvious blinders. For example, this article is about projections. These are ACTUAL NUMBERS! Say it with me Olds, "ACTUAL NUMBERS". https://247wallst.com/special-report/2022/04/16/this-is-the-longest-lasting-car-on-the-road-2/ Again, ALL FACT, not anecdotal opinions. It his also clear that you seem too think I see Toyotas as perfect, when I have never said such things nor even close to such things. They have issues for sure and they have laid some eggs and had some issues with some models. However, there is a literal MOUNTAIN of data that backs up my long term reliability claims. I don't give a damn what your hangups are on this but that facts don't lie so feel be to be angry, post some long winded rant, misrepresent what I have been saying, etc. Like with SMK, I am done with pointless debates. Take it however you want.
  7. And this is where they have been failing. Their EV lateness has bit them hard over there but it should be noted that any company NOT from China faces a constant uphill battle there. Japanese companies, in particular, have a very fragile economic standing in China (old history and such).
  8. Some folks have a difference of opinion and that is okay. Other folks have a difference of facts and I never will agree with that. (And that only took two little sentences lol)
  9. Tell me you didn't actually read the supplied article without actually saying you didn't read the supply article. And I quote: "The Toyota Land Cruiser and Sequoia are both mainstays on longevity and reliability lists, so it’s no surprise to see them near the top. Though they didn’t make the top overall list, the Toyota Sienna and Toyota Avalon topped their respective segments." And... "The iSeeCars study found that SUVs and trucks occupy 75 percent of the top 20 vehicles with the potential to last the longest, and Toyota alone accounts for half of the top 20. Interestingly, the Prius and Highlander Hybrid made the list, suggesting that automakers are getting better at making batteries last a long time." And last (but not least), two more sedans for the complainers... , I'm not bothering with the rest of it because ANY car can have some reported problems but as it has been pointed out multiple times (and willfully ignored by some folks here), it is the frequency of said problems and duration that matters more and the fact is that EVERY reliability study out there routinely puts Toyota at or near the top. This is not an opinion. This is a fact supported by countless articles that have been provided in the past. If you want to ignore that and keep on whining about it, that is on you but stop expecting others to buy into the BS. It's really that simple and I am sorry it is so hard hard for you to get past but that is all I am gong to say about it.
  10. "Toyota's are overhyped for their reliability and are junk" (paraphrased) Also Toyota: Toyota and Honda made the longevity list, as expected, but there are several pickup trucks. The 10 most likely vehicles to make it to 250,000 miles: Toyota 4Runner: 41% chance of making it Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD: 41.3% GMC Sierra 2500HD: 41.3% Toyota Tacoma: 41.7% Honda Pilot: 42.7% Ford F-250 Super Duty: 43.6% Toyota Sequoia: 47.1% Toyota Tundra: 47.9% Toyota Land Cruiser: 47.9% Ford F-350 Super Duty: 49.1% Source: https://www.yahoo.com/autos/cars-most-likely-250-000-161600494.html
  11. Sometimes I like throwing in subtle little reminders to the anti-EV crowd. Over a century of ICE cars and related infrastructure and yet fuel stations still have THIS problem. https://www.wbir.com/article/money/drivers-left-without-vehicles-sams-club-gas-station-issue/527-f9fc57f8-ed46-4e26-a645-9dea8b7f8122?fbclid=IwAR3Dg6jBzBxkGaJHe0Ys-73IQBDps2Qi0C66zuYHzrB8ydh_o0uPalAus1A
  12. Very nice property there and the interior is mostly a good paint job and new floor away from being a "new" home. Congrats!
  13. Thanks. I was not running on all cylinders the last few days due to complete garage for sleep ("come on already hip surgery") and my eyes were not in a focusing mood lol. Thanks for supplying that info. The other article, oddly enough, didn't seem to mention that. At least Polestar has the good sense to keep it. The others, though, deserve some scorn lol.
  14. Maybe I missed it but I didn't see anything about CarPlay support of any kind by Polestar. Help me out.
  15. Just more UGH. While I get the purpose of this type of system, its obvious omissions are a big "NO" for me but even the Android side is half baked and is limited by the automaker Google partners with. The Polestar example proves this. The entertainment limitations (missing features that companies like Tesla have) and all the "multi-use" Android OS features are hogtied by the parent companies love for all things safety. The missing features are deliberate (although some options may change on that front). Other companies will have plus and minuses in this regard as well. In the end, I just don't get it, long term, other than the pure greed factors I have brought up before. On the one hand (CarPlay Omission and entertainment options) but get it on another (simplified development for automakers). I will be keeping up with this over the next few years, when I may finally pull the trigger on an EV. Right now, I am generally not impressed with the interface options.
  16. Tesla fan: "Tesla will sell 10 million cars by 2026, outselling everyone" Also Tesla: https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/tesla-stock-plummeting-why-one-193727177.html
  17. No need to read the rest of your post when your are going to be deliberately ignorant to the facts. What was Mercedes damn excuse for a three year slide before 2022? You know what? Don’t answer it because it doesn’t matter. You are wrong, period, if you think this kind of switch doesn’t affect sales. FFS.
  18. Changing over to EV the last few years will sag sales for a traditional ICE automaker and then there were the supply issue affecting ALL sales for everyone for 2020 and 2021. Again, this has ALL been discussed with you before. Stop ignoring it just because you can't admit when your "facts" are wrong. BTW, your favorite brand from Germany had deicing sales in 2019, 2020, and 2021 with a small bounce back in 2022. You're not exactly standing on stable ground here with your VW "assessment". (cue endless bar moving response)
  19. Not the point. You said it was a failure and I showed you that it wasn’t. Your raw number comparison to Tesla did. It change that fact either, hence my previous post. Put the damn bar down or here’s a thought. Stop making up $h! about companies that are not Mercedes just because you are too lazy or too much of a fanboy to actually bother with the facts before you post. He has been told this time and time again yet comes back to the same sales BS. Done holding his fanboy hand over it.
  20. Because the Tesla fanboy thinks it’s just about raw numbers when comparing EVs (when it’s convenient to him, anyway). Skip the part where it has been discussed (at great length) the fact that VW is still ramping up production on their EVs, like everyone else who came into the EV game years after Tesla.
  21. We do huh? Didn’t realize that your opinion was representative of “we”. Until this comes out and hits the street with the same grace period of time you give to Tesla, it means exactly squat.
  22. A price hasn't even been announced yet, per your own post above yet now it will be a sales bust? Great logic you're showing there.
  23. You don't say. And? Your initial issue with the VW wasn't the placement. It was the "big screens" everywhere. Now you are saying it is because of placement. Pick a stance and stick with it. And I am no VW fan but I would take this over the quality challenged Tesla any day. You just go on ahead and be Elon's slave though lol. Just don't trust the "autopilot".
  24. Three things. 1-It has a hatch, not a trunk. 2-Looks better than any other German offerings not already under the VW stable (i.e. Audi and Porsche as well). 2-I don't remember big ass screens being a problem for you before but maybe that was related to the manufacturer more than the existence of the big ass screens themselves. It should be noted that VWs screens are far smaller than certain other brands.
