Fantastic. Looks like it will be a good truck done.
Yeah, body wise its pretty good, a bit of rust on the bed wheel wells, rocker panels other than that its good. No dents. H epicked it up for $500 with a blowed engine.

My kid has been working on this for about a year. 1998 Chevy 1500. He worked for a few years cutting grass and doing odd jobs to get the money for a truck and all it would need. So far he has put a new engine in it all on his own (me observing and advising when needed) He is now replacing all brake lines and brakes. Once that is done itll be road ready. His plan is to then save for some body panels for new paint and some interior work
As far as finance goes his mom and I could pay for it all, but he is willing to put the work in to getting his own and wants to know how to fix stuff. So it's a win win

That Rocks, anything special on the Trans and Diff?
I took my 94 GMC Suburban SLE and bored it out to a 402 and put in a purposeful built trans with a 425 16 bolt diff. It really moves.
Trans has had the valve body modded a little to shift harder, transbrake, carbon fiber band, hardened races.
Diff has 4:10 gear, Detroit Tru Trac, Moser shafts

I love the blowers. Those are blowers, right?
I love the colour. I love the interior.
Its an awesome little truck.
It does not have a blower, it does a dual carter carbs. I will post engine pics. They are in my phone which I forgot at work.

I'll be starting a total frameoff restoration/rebuild/modification of my wife's 2002 GMC Yukon in the next couple weeks. I will chronicle the job here. Will post before pics soon.
The plan is, take it down to the frame, sandblast and powercoat the frame and most things attached to it. Add an air locker to the rear end, lift it about 2inches. Modify it to use a stick transfer case instead of the push button setup it has, lockouts on the front wheels. Repaint it from white to purple, rebuild trans to handle larger tires, rebuild engine to about 350hp. Interior mostly stock but recover the seats and new carpet

I'm a newbie here, seen a link to this site on the net and thought I would check it out. I'm in Illinois (-16 degrees outside as of this post), I like long walks on the beach while listening to some Bob Marley with lots of girls flocking to my side (though none of that has ever happened). Anyway, see you on the forum
