  1. these are some images out there on the net with predictions for the pending Pacifica heavy refresh in 25 or 26. I sort of dig the red with black roof look.
  2. in two days, THREE year VANIVERSARY! New cars, buy or lease, are pretty unobtainable nowadays. Sales wanted me to reup the lease for 300 more bucks /mo. MSRP's through the roof, for the same thing. And weirdly, there is not much for color availability for a replacement, in other than black and white these days. No can do. Took advantage of the really cheap buyout price and now are owners. Sitting about 29,000 miles. Using as a daily driver 2 days a week now, and the Regal 3 days a week. Still enjoying this ride and its been knock on wood, no issues. Last fall I bought OEM wheels for cheap for winter rubber... but never did get the tires this year as winter has been so mild and without snow. But next winter I'll be able to get some X-Ice or Blizzaks. Love the comfortable seats. And the higher ride height is a nice welcome contrast vs the Regal. The Harmon Kardon sound is really good. Far better than the junk Bose (redundant term, I know) in the Regal. Pacifica sales were really good last year, and this vehicle will remain in the Chrysler lineup for the foreseeable future. In fact, there is a major refresh now coming out in 2025 or 2026. I can't wait to see what it may be. Some rumor renderings look good, some others don't. Part of the reason for the buyout was GM hasn't gotten their new Acadia and Traverse out yet. Painfully slow getting them to market! And the Enclave too! 3 times now and technically this is the 4th time we could have looked to get into the GM three row products. The Pacific is just easy to drive and own. Rides great, quiet. May look to replace the TourX one of these days when GM finally gets those new 3 rows to the market. Our last three vacations, we've rented Pacificas also. The front drivers pull amazing highway mpg when your doing interstate driving. Have still had interest in the plug in version.....I think they still have teething issues with them, but also..they are heavy due to the battery and you lose stow n Go as well as all wheel drive. I was interested in test driving a Sienna hybrid, but you can never find one on a lot. Plus, the Sienna interior is ghastly.
  3. Recent oil change again. Sitting at about 43,000 miles now. The dealership has a great car wash!
  4. On the pacificaforums.com that I go due (due to driving a Pacifica) there are topics of the v6 having issues. Hard to gauge how prolific it is really but yes, an item of concern. It was reasoned by a few that the percentage is actually very small (but with vocal impacted owners) and it may be related to either maintenance and general care or believe it or not one theory I read was the stress of the autostart may be causing causing other stress in the powertrain itself. My lease is ending soon on our 2nd Pacifica and I had fully intended to buy it as the lease end is far less than market value right now. However, knowing there is a motor with potential issues clouds the issue a bit. I suppose to include warranty would be most prudent thing. I even just bought separate wheels for it recently that I intend to put snows on for this winter. The same 20" OEM's as a matter of fact. Crazy good deal.
  5. OMG that is scary. I do the same thing. My check phrase before I leave the house is ‘wallet, keys, phone’! I’ve tried to teach this to my kids too, especially after I got called to pay for daughters gas one time she only had Apple Pay and they only took cards. I was like, take your wallet with you! ——— ———- BLAZER EV CAUGHT IN THE WILD BY ME!!!! Looks a fair amount smaller than I perceived it to be. Doesn’t seem to be super roomy and seems to ride a lot lower than I thought interior looks pretty cool
  6. Spark is really good at what it’s supposed to be. But beware it’s not a big rig at all!
  7. I'll be sure to get back with some updated thoughts on the car. In the meantime, this evening, the light and sun was hitting the car in an interesting way, so I whipped out the phone cam and took a few more pics. The camera didn't quite pick up how interesting with the color very well. A little over 4 years and the odd just passed 37,000 miles.
  8. Just had my four year carversary the other day….just about 37000 on the odometer ….
  9. If this https://burlappcar.com/2023/06/2024-buick-enclave.html is accurate to what the new Enclave will be, it can just get in my belly right now perfect step up for me from the TourX but I might as well dream because can’t likely afford anything anymore
  10. Nice interior update. base engine still weak. 3.0 on the V could stand to be the 3.6 tt also
  11. Finally making amends for their big mistake. yet, ^^^the gap you mention could be filled by rebadging the current Acadia. The smaller size did work better for some and that is a worthwhile market segment on its own. Just not the same sales volume. even Toyota has the Highlander and the Grand Highlander now.

  13. Relatives in town. Came to visit with a rental from Hertz. New Chevy Bolt! 38 dollars a day evidently.
  14. I prefer the EUV due to actual room and space. I agree with those that would like an AWD option. I don’t really want to buy any cars in the future without AWD.
  15. https://gmauthority.com/blog/2023/07/images-of-next-gen-2025-chevy-equinox-activ-leaked-in-china/ REALLY liking this new potential Equinox. HUGE upgrade in styling. More rugged, some same cues as new Traverse. Put the 2.0 engine in it and i might actually be jiggy for it as consideration as next vehicle.....depending on interior
  16. LOVE LOVE LOVE THE EXCITEMENT !!!!!! of those style Pontiac interiors. still would be very desirable today, IMO. that and the Olds Aurora interiors. Plenty of good ventilation as well!
  17. gotta admit, i've warmed up to this and the Trax, especially after sitting in a Trax at the auto show. Still really dislike the piss pot engine and no all wheel drive. I tend to think AWD may get added in a year or two. People miss the point on whether it needs it or not. It's about whether customers want it. Here in the north, people want it on the option sheet, they want to get away from the stoplight easier, they want to get up their driveways easier. Dealers want it also. Why give even more sales to Subaru? Why do you think Nissan added AWD to the Altima option sheet. Why does an HRV have AWD? It's like the old days when RWD diehards complained and said, why do luxury sedans need AWD? And now, name me a luxury sedan brand that doesn't have AWD available or as its most available configuration? This is affordable, which is the key thing here. A Buick that may sell in larger volumes and keep the dealer's door open. Depending on the ways of the world and maybe when cheap leases come back maybe this is a daughter's first car choosing over the far too many on the roads Chevy version. Or maybe if i end up driving a lot for work again it could always be something i add to my stable. REALLY would prefer a 1.5t four cylinder in this though.
  18. mixed bag, better looking than the other ID's but still looking chunky and weird. These EV interiors with their horizontal dashboards, tacked on screens and weird consoles don't feel like some of the more driver oriented cockpit interiors we've gotten used to over the last couple decades or so.
  19. now with a better powertrain and having got used to the new design I am warming up to this. I even like the interior in this also. I do understand the lean concept of the Integra, but also wonder if an AWD setup as an option would get the power down better.
  20. a big style improvement over their 'thick' sedans.
  21. no v6. fail. design is fairly milquetoast as well.

  23. Interesting tidbit I found; which I suspected is true; being a northern snow state dweller. And it reminded me of the time I test drove the 2019 Malibu with CVT as a possible successor to my 2016 Malibu, before I ultimately got my Regal TourX. The salesman at that time said, people are interested in the Malibu until they find out they can’t get all wheel drive on it. Then they go straight to looking at an Equinox. https://www.autoblog.com/2019/03/14/2019-nissan-altima-awd-second-drive-review-gaining-traction/ “All-wheel drive is available only with the base 2.5-liter engine. While one could argue that the uplevel engine, a variable-compression 2.0-liter turbo, could really use four driven wheels to put its hearty 280 lb-ft of torque to the pavement, the standard engine is the choice of the vast majority of Altima buyers. Nissan product planners saw AWD as a mass-market feature — particularly in cold-weather states — rather than a niche item to enhance the performance of the most expensive models. That's a democratic notion and also appears to be shrewd business. ———-According to Bruce Pillard, head of marketing for the Altima, in the most recent month's sales figures nearly one in four Altima buyers chose all-wheel drive, and the take rate runs closer to 50 percent in northern states. (In Canada, the feature is standard.) “——— seems to be this is how you keep interest in the midsize sedans ah but you can’t mark them up as much I guess
