Anyone have experience with RWD Malibus?
Well, they are G bodies, so a LOT of mechanical/chassis components are interchangable, and they're super easy to work on with ample room in the engine bay. I'd lose the molding, and something doesn't look quite right on the rear 1/4 above the left side taillight. Still, if you're interested, I'd pick it up before 68 and XP drive down to Tampa and scoop it up on you.

My New Project
It's not nearly as involved as another car. I'll eventually turn this: into a nice road bike. It's an Iron Horse Triumph Comp aluminum/carbon frame and fork, and it was a steal. The sad part is, getting this up and running will most likely involve dismantling my beloved restified Schwinn and retiring her if I can't find a cheap way to keep her complete. She served me well, finishing tied for 5th in a century ride two weeks ago. I'll probably ride the Schwinn through the summer and start hording the parts that I can't transfer over.

- CHEESE
I can't believe noone mentioned the Italian cheeses. I use Parmesan like it's going out of style. Fresh mozzarella is great too - I have to try making a pizza out of that stuff. And there's ricotta - sweet, creamy ricotta .- Sctatched my Cornea
I did it Monday night. I was breaking down a cardboard box to get it to fit in the garbage can, and it came up and nailed me in the right eye. Tuesday morning it was absolutely excruciating - it wouldn't stay open or stop tearing. I went to the hospital, and they sent me home with a prescription for antibiotic eyedrops and two Percocets (stupid pills). I spent most of Tuesday and yesterday in little to no light. Today is the first day I can tolerate a computer screen without pain. My vision is still blurry and will take a week to heal, so no riding this weekend.- DIRTY DANCING -NOBODY PUTS BABY IN THE CORNER
Nice thread, guys. We're pretty far off the original topic at this point, but at least it is staying civil. There's nothing wrong with requirements. I do have a list of standards (I'll spare the list unless you're all dying to know) and, like Bob, I'll die alone before I compromise any of them. But love is a feeling, not a finite entitiy can be designed, built, tested, verified, and ISO certified. I am a big believer in chemistry, and even if a girl fits my requirements, I'll know after a conversation or two whether or not to take the next step. To bring this oh so slightly back on topic, here's my vote for best click flick ever- Mets or Yankees?
I'm a Yankee fan, but I think I'm with you in thinking there's a massacre upon us. The Yanks' patchwork rotation isn't going to hold up.- SPY SHOTS! 2008 Honda Accord sedan
I like it better than the current Accord. It is going to be quite a dogfight between this car, the Malibu, and the Camry - which by next year might actually be the worst midsizer out there.- "Boredom Buick"
Just get a Buick and be done with it, so I can point out the irony.- Did Anybody Watch the American Idol Results Last Night?
This show's a joke and utterly pointless. None of it matters - they all get record deals anyhow. In the entertainment industry, marketability > talent- Need to *help* a colleague at work...
Does it have to be a car? Because the Wrangler pwns as a beach vehicle.- Idiots.....
cut the fiber optic cables that feed the network in my building today while excavating. Since my building is the data center for our department, noone who uses a computer could do work at all this afternoon. Good thing we all went to training for Work Planning yesterday- Woo-hoo -- another birthday for my Buick
Congratulations. I think the Regal will hit that no problemo. How many miles a year do you usually put on it? I think you owe it to yourself to get another Buick. Stop flirting with Montes and GPs.- Worst case scenario
The day the government dictates what we can and cannot buy is the day the wheels get set in motion for a Soviet Union-esque collapse of the government in this country. I'm in agreement that we will be able to innovate our way around this, but I do not think that the population at large will wait around for it.- Gas boycott
And the funny thing is, they probably filled up on either Monday or this morning because they were boycotting gas yesterday. Idiots - there's a reason why incest is wrong.- It might just be coming!
It is not a good idea to have this car in the US. I've made my feelings known about the G8. and I even even like the PA on its own merits, but having these two cars in the same showroom will not work. Since the G8 is set in stone, we're better off passing on the PA and waiting for a more Buick-like Zeta.- OKLAHOMA
Want to save some money? Pick up chicken nuggets in the supermarket and heat them yourself. Or just eat them without cooking. They're already precooked.- Advice from a forklift
Some network engineering humor:- OMGROTFLMAO!!!!
I was in Wally World picking up some supplies for my century ride this Saturday, and I came across this in the toy section: As much as I love the Solstice and hate to see it disgraced like this, I nearly busted a gut laughing so hard in the aisle. People passing by had to think I was insane.- Ahh yes, "progress"
A scary thought - I've read that the average bike sold in Wal Mart/Target/Toys-R-Us or any other department store is typically ridden 75 miles before it is junked. Manufacturers know this and build them accordingly. This past Saturday alone I put 82 miles on my 80s vintage Schwinn, and I'll be riding it 100 miles on this Saturday. So, if you're planning to train for a century on a Wal Mart bike, buy at least three of them.- Hardtop Orgy
Show of hands - how many people didn't know I'd show up in this thread to post this? And because I like to keep everyone guessing, here's another one of my favorites- Production G8 nose in Red
Just....wow. I can't wait for shots of the entire car in red. Better yet, I can't wait for when a red one is sitting in my driveway.- Traveling to Houston
The only part of Houston I saw was in the Continental terminal at IAH while on my way to San Antonio. It was a pretty clean, almost bright and cheery airport, but then again just about all of them are compared to the grey dungeon that is JFK. I would like to go back to Texas again. I would've liked to see Houston, and maybe take in an Astros game at Minute Maid Park. I'd also love to spend more time in Corpus and head on down to SPI.- So you want a Cadillac with RWD and BOF?
You probably just need to tighten the derailleur cables and adjust the limit screws on each derailleur. I'm not sure how to do that specifically for your bike, but Park Tooks (the equivalent of Snap-on for bikes) has a pretty comprehensive Repair Guide that should get you going again.- Which is Better?
I think most non-Harleys have wet clutches, so you could ride them all day if you wanted to. If that's the case, definitely use the clutch. - CHEESE
