  1. The Chinese made 3.4 that is in my Equinox has been flawless! No issues!
  2. Well I was going to get a 2008 CTS, but now since I don't want a G8 made in Australia, (I only buy North American made vehicles), sorry to say. I am thinking of getting a 2007 Grand Prix GXP and wait until 2009 for the CTS. Wife is getting a 2008 Pontiac Torrent GXP. Teenager will be taking her 2005 Equinox LT next year.
  3. Well umm, no. I'm more your Grand Prix and H body Bonneville type of person, and A body Tempest, LeMans, GTO, T37 and Custom-S.
  4. I sat on a runway for hours trying to take off for Germany yesterday to get to a meeting at GM Europe. Needless to say I'm still in Delaware, in beautiful Kappa Kountry!
  5. I have a 05 Equinox LT. Not one issue with it. However I am looking at replacing it within a year, with a Pontiac Torrent GXP, with GM's 3.6-liter V6, producing 263 HP and sending power to all-four-wheels via a Hyrda-Matic six-speed automatic tranny, with sport shift. The 05 Equinox LT will go to my 15 year old next year. 5 star crash rating will let me sleep a little easier at night too. Oh and pray for me when it's time for me to sign for that license next year.
  6. I believe GM wants the Chrysler group, not just the minivans.
  7. It's better than shooting him I guess. Which is what could have happened if someone else might have been there instead of you.
  8. Been on that other forum (GMOutsidenews) and it sucks big time. Moderators only want post they approve of, so I have pulled up stakes and moved here. Ahhhh the breath of freedom and way nicer people here too. Just thought you should all know what a good thing you have here! No censorship, no one trying to put words in your mouth, no name calling, no personal attacks. Just cars, and people who enjoy cars. No one who is 13 years old, trying to discuss the finer points of 1960's muscle cars. My hat's off to you all!
  9. The Jeep brand will fit very nicely within Hummer. This family was split apart by AMC, perhaps GM can put the family back together again.
  10. I love my WAWA, I hate Toyota!
  11. Damn, I love the 60's Pontiacs. This one is sweet!
  12. No Sunroof was just one of the reasons I never bought this car. Other things that turned me against it was, no red dash, no HUD, no side impact airbags, no XM, no OnStar. To me it just wasn't Pontiac enough. But to each their own. :AH-HA_wink:
  13. Here is my reality, which is only for me. I will never buy this car unless it's produced in North America, that's just a fact as I see it. Also what is GM going to do if this car is a hit? Right now Lutz said they will import 30 - 50K, what will they do if demand is 75 -100K per year? Holden can't produce more than that since it is supplying Zeta cars to it's home market, China, South Africa, and the Middle East. So what's the plan if demand is more than 50K? I think they will be forced to move production to North America, especially if they now are going to bring the UTE here as an El Camino. Remember Holden doesn't have multiple car assembly plants as we do here in North America, it has only the Elizabeth assembly plant.
  14. Ahhh technology and style teaming up to make GM better. Interesting article!
  15. I think it was also called blue green crystal metallic, paint code is 26U. I have this color on my Grand Prix.
  16. Daimler should have never bought Chrysler in the 1st place. Bad move on their part (IMHO). DaimlerChrysler most likely will be announcing the closure of its Newark, Delaware plant tomorrow. Very Sad, since the Newark plant has good UAW relations and productivity is very high. This plant will be missed if they close it.
  17. You're forgetting one very important fact, this car weighs 4000 pounds, that coupled with the V8 does not bode well for MPG. IMHO.
  18. Now i know where all those Aztek AC/Heater vents went too!
  19. I will personally miss the W cars. They were classified as Mid/Lux by GM. I had a 97 Grand Prix GT, 98 Grand Prix GTP, 2002 Grand Prix GT, and now a 2005 Grand Prix GT. All were/is great cars and had little to no issues. Since I work at both GM (Delaware) & Opel (Germany), I worry that the G8 being a heavier car with a bigger V8 engine, that these cars will languish on the dealer lots much like the last generation GTO did should fuel prices rise above 3 bucks again. So I will either buy a V6 2008 Cadillac CTS or perhaps one last Grand Prix most likely the GXP so I can have a collector car to tool around in.

I love the Cadillac CTS and when the 2008 model gets here, it will be my new car.
